Tricorner WayneTech Cache locations and puzzle solutions in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

Tricorner WayneTech Cache locations and puzzle solutions in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

Tricorner holds 20 WayneTech Caches, and most pop open the moment you walk up to them. The headache is the handful of locked ones scattered around the district, each tied to a specific character ability or a small electrical puzzle. Every cache you crack drops a WayneTech Chip, the upgrade currency you spend at any workbench back in the Batcave.

💡
Unlock the district's surveillance tower first. That pins every cache to your map and turns Tricorner into a straight checklist.

Quick answer: Open all freely-accessible caches on sight, then return for the eight puzzle caches with Catwoman, Batgirl, Nightwing, Jim Gordon, Robin, and Talia equipped to clear the locked ones at the coordinates listed below.

Coordinates correspond to the in-game map grid. Caches not listed in the puzzle section open without any special requirement, though a few may have a small group of enemies nearby.

Pier A battery puzzle (115, 119)

No character requirement, just a bit of running around. The puzzle reroutes power into the cache through three Batarang-activated targets.

Step 1: Spin the camera around from the cache and locate the battery sitting nearby. Pick it up.

Step 2: Carry the battery to the front entrance of the Pier A building and slot it into the empty socket.

Step 3: Hit each target that appears with a Batarang to send the current through to the cache. The lock pops open once the circuit completes.

Catwoman rooftop greenhouse (163, 156)

You need Catwoman unlocked. The cache sits behind glass with two switches gating it.

Step 1: From the cache, head right and use Catwoman to climb the marked wall. Pull the switch at the top.

Step 2: Drop back down and move left to the glass panel. Cut through it with her claws.

Step 3: Step inside and hit the second switch. The cache unlocks immediately after.

Batgirl drone code (136, 182)

Batgirl is required here. The puzzle uses a security camera feed and a hidden code visible only from above.

Step 1: Activate sense mode and follow the camera's wire back along the wall to its hacking terminal.

Step 2: Send Batgirl's Drone up above the terminal. From that vantage point, you'll be able to read a numeric code on a surface nearby.

Step 3: Return to the terminal and input the code to disable the lock.

Nightwing conductor and hook chain (185, 196)

Nightwing's escrima rerouting handles this one. Three components matter: a power source, a movable conductor, and a battery.

Step 1: Grab the conductor and slide it to the right so it sits between the power source and the battery.

Step 2: Hook a cable from the power source to the conductor, then run a second hook from the conductor to the battery.

Step 3: Walk back to the power source and charge it with Nightwing's weapon. The current flows through, and the cache opens.

Double conductor alignment (205, 205)

No specific character. You're aligning two rotating conductors so their handles point toward the lights on top, letting the electrical path complete.

Step 1: Interact with the right-side conductor and rotate it until the handles line up with the lit indicator above it.

Step 2: Repeat the same alignment on the middle conductor. Once both are matched, power reaches the cache and unlocks it.

Gordon fire and foam (199, 182)

Bring Jim Gordon. The building flanking this cache is engulfed, and the switch you need is buried in the flames.

Step 1: Use Gordon's foam gun to put out the visible fires, then spray the leaking chemical pool to stop it from reigniting.

Step 2: Walk over to the now-accessible switch and pull it to release the cache lock.

Talia pole dash (254, 197)

Talia al Ghul's traversal lets her chain across mounted poles to reach the lock.

Step 1: Position Talia at the first pole and trigger her dash ability to chain through the sequence above the cache.

Step 2: Land on the platform beside the lock and break it.

Step 3: Hit the switch revealed underneath to open the cache.

Robin triple-target Batarang (279, 167)

Robin's the only one with the right tool for this. Three targets sit in a row above the cache.

Step 1: Equip Robin's Batarang and lock onto all three targets in a single throw, hitting them from left to right. The cache opens once the final target is struck.

Verifying a clear sweep

The Tricorner map will show 20/20 caches once the district is finished. Each WayneTech Chip you collect adds to your shared pool back at any workbench, where you can spend them on gadget tiers for Batman, Catwoman, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Gordon, and Talia. If a cache refuses to open and nothing on the lock reacts, scan it with sense mode first. The cable trail almost always points to the trigger you missed, whether that's a switch on a roof, a hidden battery, or a wall a specific character needs to interact with.

⚠️
Several puzzle caches need characters introduced later in the campaign. If Talia, Nightwing, or Batgirl aren't on your roster yet, mark those caches and come back after the next story beat unlocks them.

With Tricorner cleared, the Batcave's upgrade tree opens up considerably, which makes the puzzle caches in neighboring districts like Old Gotham and The Cauldron much easier to clean up on the next pass.
