Rerolling in Umamusume: Pretty Derby is built around one decision: which support card you start with. Support cards set the ceiling for your account, so a fresh reroll should aim for premium Speed and Wit cards first, with Trainees treated as a secondary target. The current Make a New Track scenario (also called Trackblazer) rewards Race Bonus and a Mile-Medium-Long rotation, which keeps the same core support cards on top.

Why support cards come before Trainees in a reroll
A 3★ Trainee with weak supports plays like a B-tier run, while a 1★ Trainee backed by a fully MLB SSR deck still wins. That gap exists because support cards are hard to power up. You need true duplicates from banners to limit break them. Trainees can be raised later with Star Pieces from in-game shops, mostly Statue Exchange, so you can stay relaxed about which Trainee you roll.
When you reroll, spend everything on support card pulls. Rerolling itself is fast because you can skip the tutorial after the first run and never re-download the client. If a roll fails, return to the title screen and delete your user data, then start again.
Support card reroll tier list (June 2026)
The single best card to chase is the SSR Speed Kitasan Black (Fire at My Heels). It carries an 80 base Special Priority once you count its unique perk, which makes it appear in Speed training more often than any other Speed card. It also starts with a 35 Initial Friendship Gauge, so rainbow training comes online early. It stays useful even at LB0 thanks to character events that hand out Corner Adept ◯ and Professor of Curvature.
| Tier | Support cards worth keeping |
|---|---|
| SS (Top roll) | Kitasan Black (Fire at My Heels) – Speed |
| S (Great rolls) | Super Creek (Piece of Mind), Fine Motion (Wave of Gratitude), Nice Nature (Daring to Dream), Mr. C.B. (Dear Mr. C.B.), Matikanefukukitaru, Narita Top Road (Peachy Silhouette), Biko Pegasus (Double Carrot Punch!) |
| A (Good rolls) | Sakura Bakushin O, Tokai Teio, Sweep Tosho, Silence Suzuka, Shinko Windy, King Halo, Vodka, El Condor Pasa, Oguri Cap, Yaeno Muteki, Seiun Sky, Manhattan Cafe, Mayano Top Gun, Zenno Rob Roy, Ines Fujin, Admire Vega, Marvelous Sunday |
Outside Fire at My Heels, three cards hold long-term value and are the cards to keep if you do not want to chase dupes immediately. Super Creek provides Swinging Maestro and energy on most of her events, which solves stamina for nearly any build. Fine Motion is a strong Wit card that helps you pick up Practice Perfect ◯, and Nice Nature is another durable Wit pick that shines for Late Surgers with On Your Left! and brings a high 15% race bonus at MLB in Trackblazer.

Low-effort vs high-effort reroll targets
If you want a fast, solid start, aim for a single copy of a card that performs without limit breaks. Super Creek is the best of these because it stays usable for the long haul, while Tazuna and Fine Motion give strong early value. Any extra copies of those three are a bonus rather than a requirement.
If you want to push harder, the goal is to bring a banner card to 1LB or higher through your opening pulls, which takes around 20 attempts on average. From there, you farm races for Carats, clear missions, and aim to reach 200 pulls on the banner to MLB the card. To estimate how many accounts a target will take, use a binomial distribution with p set to 0.0075, n as your starting pull count, and x as the copies you want. As a benchmark, starting with three copies in 60 pulls sits at roughly a 1% chance.
Character reroll: use the guaranteed 3★ selector
Every new account includes a 3★ Guaranteed Selector. You can only pick one, so choose for career ease and competitive value. Oguri Cap (Starlight Beat) is the simplest career and a safe default. Maruzensky (Formula R) and Taiki Shuttle (Wild Frontier) are both strong SSR alternatives if you prefer them.
Your starting roster is fixed and already acceptable for PvP once trained well. That lineup is Sakura Bakushin O, Vodka, Daiwa Scarlet, Gold Ship, and Haru Urara. Haru Urara is a starter you can later swap out for stronger Dirt picks like Oguri Cap or El Condor Pasa once you have better Dirt aptitude sparks.

Trainee tier list (June 2026)
Trackblazer reshaped Trainee value by removing many old career events and rewarding Race Bonus. Star ratings below refer to base rarity, not power. Most A and B Trainees clear PvE comfortably with a decent deck, so the upper tiers matter mainly for Team Trials and Champions Meeting.
| Trainee | Tier | Best distance / style |
|---|---|---|
| Christmas Oguri Cap (Ashen Miracle) | SS | Medium / Pace Chaser |
| Kitasan Black | SS | Long / Front Runner |
| New Year's T.M. Opera O | SS | Medium-Long / Pace |
| Summer Maruzensky (Formula R) | SS | Mile / Front |
| Christmas Biwa Hayahide | SS | Long / Pace Chaser |
| Valentine Bourbon | S+ | Mile-Medium / Various |
| Oguri Cap (base) | S+ | Mile-Medium / Pace |
| Seiun Sky | S+ | Long / Front Runner |
| Tokai Teio, Symboli Rudolf, Maruzensky (base), Mejiro Dober, Admire Vega, Narita Taishin, Taiki Shuttle, Sakura Bakushin O, Daiwa Scarlet | S | Mixed (Sprint to Long) |
| Vodka, Special Week, Mejiro McQueen, Silence Suzuka, Curren Chan, Smart Falcon, Mayano Top Gun (Wedding), Mihono Bourbon, Agnes Tachyon, Grass Wonder, El Condor Pasa, T.M. Opera O (base) | A | Mixed roles / debuffers |
| Mejiro Ryan, Bamboo Memory, Mr. C.B., Seeking the Pearl, Matikanefukukitaru, Super Creek, Tamamo Cross, Daitaku Helios | B | Situational |
| Hishi Akebono, Yaeno Muteki, Twin Turbo, Ines Fujin, Nice Nature | C | Niche |
| Gold Ship, Rice Shower, King Halo, Haru Urara | D | Inconsistent / starter |
The five SS Trainees break their distances. Christmas Oguri Cap stacks Speed, acceleration, and stamina recovery into one trigger, which is why she is the safest single carry on Medium turf. Kitasan Black owns Long with +20% Speed and +10% Stamina growth, and her best matching Speed support is the same Fire at My Heels card. New Year's T.M. Opera O scales when seven skills have already fired, Summer Maruzensky's Red Shift acceleration triggers on the final corner for almost any style, and Christmas Biwa Hayahide sits on the rail without burning stamina on long tracks.

Best Trainees by distance
| Distance | Ace | Co-Ace / Sub |
|---|---|---|
| Sprint (1000-1400m) | Sakura Bakushin O | Taiki Shuttle, Curren Chan, Agnes Tachyon (debuffer) |
| Mile (1500-1799m) | Summer Maruzensky | Oguri Cap (base), Valentine Bourbon, Vodka |
| Medium (1800-2400m) | Christmas Oguri Cap | New Year's T.M. Opera O, Tokai Teio, Grass Wonder (debuffer) |
| Long (2401m+) | Kitasan Black | Christmas Biwa Hayahide, Seiun Sky, Symboli Rudolf |
| Dirt | Smart Falcon | El Condor Pasa, Oguri Cap (Dirt sparks) |
The Wit-stacking meta is real, so push Wit toward 1,000 on competitive builds. Skill activations are what separate close finishers when raw stats are similar, which is why Fine Motion, Nice Nature, and Mr. C.B. stay valuable across most decks.
How to reroll your account
Step 1: Clear the tutorial once and reach a point where you can use your starter pulls and the 3★ Guaranteed Selector. Spend pull currency on the current support card banner, since support cards decide your account's power.
Step 2: Check your results. If you landed Kitasan Black (Fire at My Heels) or one of the durable S-tier cards like Super Creek, Fine Motion, or Nice Nature, stop and keep the account.
Step 3: If the pulls miss, open the title screen and use the button in the bottom-right corner, then choose Delete User Data at the bottom of the menu. If you want to preserve a previous account first, link it with Data Link and note the details before deleting.
Step 4: Relaunch and repeat. Because you skip the tutorial after the first run, each loop is short, and you can keep restarting until a target card appears.

Treat this as a living priority list rather than a fixed one. Fire at My Heels remains the top roll for Speed, the Super Creek, Fine Motion, and Nice Nature trio anchors long-term value, and Oguri Cap stays the cleanest selector pick for a first account. Lock in those supports, take a comfortable Trainee, and you will have a base that carries through the Make a New Track meta and into the current Champions Meeting cycle.
