The Mystery Statue quest in VV: Ultimatum is one of the longer early-to-mid game objectives, built around finding three glowing extracts and placing them into the three statues where you first picked up the quest. The payoff is a hidden shrine that lets you refund individual skills for free, so you can fix build mistakes without spending Robux on a full skill tree reset.
Quick answer: Reach level 15 and talk to Clint to start the quest. Collect the Intelligence Extract from finishing the tutorial, the Strength Extract from the Crocodile King boss in the Swamp, and the Masked Hollow Man Extract from a secret boss in the Soul Society Outskirts. Place each extract in its matching statue near Clint, then step through the portal that appears to reach the skill refund shrine.

How to unlock the Mystery Statue quest
The quest comes from an NPC named Clint. From the Sweetwater Pass spawn point, keep heading straight forward until you reach him. He stands across the road from three large statues, a fallen tree trunk, and a broken staircase, so the area is hard to miss.
Talking to Clint only works once you are at least level 15. If the quest dialogue does not show up, you are underleveled. The fastest way to hit level 15 is to clear every available quest around Sweetwater Pass, prioritizing main story missions since they give the most XP. Defeating enemies in combat also adds up. Once you reach level 15, speak to Clint again, and the quest will be offered.

Add to Google Preferences →What the three extracts look like
You need three extracts to finish the quest. Each one is a glowing colored orb tagged as a “Quest Item”, so they are easy to recognize in your inventory. Each extract goes into its own matching statue at Clint’s location, and the order you place them in does not matter.
| Extract | Color | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Intelligence Extract | Blue orb | Awarded after finishing the tutorial |
| Strength Extract | Green orb | Dropped by the Crocodile King boss in the Swamp |
| Masked Hollow Man Extract | Orange orb | Dropped by a secret boss in the Soul Society Outskirts |
Intelligence Extract location
This blue orb is the easiest to get. You receive it automatically once you finish the tutorial section of the game. There is no boss fight required to claim it.
One useful detail is that you get the Intelligence Extract whether or not you defeat the tutorial end boss, Gelum. You can skip that fight when the helpful spirit prompts you and still keep the extract. Fighting Gelum is still worth it, though, since the additional rewards are good and the encounter helps you learn the basic controls before tougher content.

Strength Extract location (Crocodile King boss)
The green Strength Extract drops from the Crocodile King boss in the Swamp area. Reaching this point takes preparation, since two requirements gate the fight.
- The quest that unlocks the Crocodile King fight only becomes available at level 35.
- You must have the respirator to enter the Swamp. Without it, the toxic fumes there will kill you very quickly.
Because of the level requirement and the respirator gate, this extract usually takes the longest to obtain. Do not be surprised if the Mystery Statue quest sits in your journal for a while as you build up to it. Once you defeat the Crocodile King, pick up the Strength Extract from the drop.

Masked Hollow Man Extract location (secret boss)
The orange Masked Hollow Man Extract is the hardest to track down. It drops from a secret boss that spawns randomly somewhere in the Soul Society Outskirts, and the boss is not always available.
When the boss appears, a server-wide message reading “a big Hollow has appeared” shows up for everyone on the server. Treat that as your signal to stop whatever you are doing and start searching for him in the Outskirts. The respawn timing is unpredictable, so missing the window can mean a long wait before another chance. Defeat the boss to collect the extract.
Tip: Since the spawn is broadcast server-wide, other players will rush to the same location. Teaming up with them makes the fight faster and safer.

How to place the extracts and finish the quest
You know it worked when the portal spawns after the third extract is placed and the room opens up on the other side. If no portal appears, you are still missing an extract or one has not been seated in its correct statue.

Mystery Statue quest reward
Inside the pink room is a shrine that lets you refund individual skills by interacting with it. This is the entire point of the quest. Without the shrine, adjusting your build would mean resetting the whole skill tree, which normally costs Robux.
The free individual refund makes this one of the most valuable early questlines to clear. It lets you correct early skill point mistakes, experiment with different combinations, and adapt your build as the game updates. Once you have placed all three extracts and used the shrine, the Mystery Statue objective is complete.
