Build Supplies are the resource behind every structure in Wardogs, from a single stack of sandbags to a Drill Rig. A hammer with no supplies builds nothing, so the real bottleneck is not the tool but the pile of lumber sitting next to it. Getting more of it means buying it from a vendor, putting it in a logistics crate, and physically driving that crate to wherever the construction is happening.
Quick answer: Buy a vehicle that supports logistics crates at a Safe Zone Vehicle Vendor, get in, press G to open Buy Ammo / Supplies, purchase a Small Crate under the Logistics tab for $250, fill it with Build Supplies at $10 per 50 units, drive to your build site, and press G again to unload the crate.
What Build Supplies cost and what they do
Build Supplies sit in the Logistics category and occupy a Resource slot. They weigh 0.02 kg each, stack to 50, and are available from Level 1. Every buildable in the game draws from them, and you need any hammer equipped to actually spend them.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Category | Logistics |
| Equipment slot | Resource |
| Price | $10 |
| Max stack | 50 |
| Weight | 0.02 kg |
| Unlock level | Level 1 |
| Requirement to use | Any hammer |
The number you need scales hard with ambition. Sandbags cost 10 supplies and barbed wire 5, but a Gate is 52, a Bunker or Recon Tower is 61, a Refuel or Repair Station is 121, a Talon is 601, a CIWS is 901, and a Drill Rig is 1,351. That last figure is why serious FOB projects need a vehicle, not pockets.

If you plan to haul for a whole squad rather than yourself, the Ural and its Defender variants are the dedicated logistics trucks. In the air, the Z20 Lakota is the only helicopter with crate space alongside passenger seats.
Buy a crate and fill it with Build Supplies

Note: buy for the job in front of you. A single window of construction rarely burns through more than a crate or two unless you are committing to a Drill Rig or a heavy anti-air piece, and unspent supplies parked in a contested spot tend to end up funding someone else’s walls.
Drive out and unload the crate

Pallets are the faster option when you are supplying an FOB rather than yourself. A teammate holds F on a pallet and the whole thing transfers into the FOB stores at once, while individual crates have to be moved one at a time. From a helicopter, pallets can be dropped from altitude without landing.
Spending the supplies: hammer tiers and what each one builds
Supplies alone do nothing. You need a hammer equipped, and the tier you carry decides which structures the menu will even offer you.
| Hammer | Builds | Speed | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | Basic structures only | Slow | $100 |
| Medium | Basic and large buildables | Medium | $400–$800 |
| Large | Everything | Fast | $1,600 |
With a hammer out, right-click opens the build menu and each entry shows its supply cost underneath. Place the structure, exit the menu, and hit it to raise it. Yellow X markers appear on the frame during construction, and striking those instead of swinging at random speeds progress up considerably. Building pays into the Support class track, so the resource run is not wasted XP time either.

What needs an FOB and what does not
Four structures can be built anywhere with just a hammer and supplies. Recon Tent (5), Barbed Wire (5), Sandbags (10), and Hedgehog (14) all skip the FOB requirement, which makes them useful for quick cover during a fight.
Everything else needs a Forward Operating Base nearby. The FOB kit comes from a vendor under the Equipment tab in Building, deploys from your inventory, and creates the construction area that larger structures draw stored supplies from. It ships with a Medium and Small hammer, two wrenches, signal grenades, and bandages. It does not resupply itself and it is not a respawn point, which is exactly why the crate runs matter.
Where to drop the pile
Stage leftover supplies at the back of the FOB rather than on the side facing the fight. A pile sitting on the forward sandbag line takes fire and can be scooped up by whoever pushes through next. Behind the tents, it stays available for the next life and the next builder.
Ordering matters too. Walls come before Ammo Supplies, and Ammo Supplies before Fuel Supplies, because a refuel station without cover around it is just a target. The Drill Rig in particular is a fuel sink once it is running, so plan for repeat runs rather than one heroic delivery.
If construction stalls, the cause is usually one of three things. You have no hammer equipped, you are trying to place something that requires an FOB without one in range, or the crate you dropped is empty because supplies were never added to it in the Building tab. Check the crate contents before you drive off, and the rest of the run tends to go fine.
