Bulkhead has finally attached a calendar entry to Wardogs Season 2. The studio’s teaser runs for about half a minute, shows no gameplay at all, and ends on the one thing players had been guessing at for a week: a date, printed over a village map in a downpour.
Quick answer: The teaser confirms Wardogs Season 2 for 15th October 2026. Neither a release hour nor a timezone has been announced.
What the Wardogs Season 2 teaser shows
The clip opens high above a rural village, shot from a wooded overlook with trees in the foreground and stadium floodlights on the far horizon. Everything is dry, bright and long-sighted, which is exactly how Wardogs looks today.

The framing comes around again: clouds sweep over the valley, heavy rain begins, and SEASON 2 appears through the storm. The sequence relies entirely on repeating one camera angle—the opening establishes normal conditions before the later pass tears them apart.

Through the rainfall, a military helicopter moves across the shot; the season title then gives way to the date beneath it. The final image combines the Wardogs logo, soldier artwork, and the line “Available Now Via Steam Early Access” with the Bulkhead, Team17 and Steam marks.

Bulkhead has yet to publish details on storm behavior during a live match. No one outside the studio can currently say how much the rain changes sightlines, optics, aircraft or ground vehicles.

How October 15 compares to the earlier producer estimate
Until the teaser landed, the only number in circulation came from Bulkhead CEO and executive producer Joe Brammer. On 18 September he said he had played the Season 2 build and pegged it at “about a month after launch, so three weeks away-ish.”
He offered two slightly different early-October dates and qualified both in that same sentence. The dated card now takes priority. Use 15th October as the target rather than that earlier window.
With Wardogs’ Steam Early Access launch dated 10 September 2026, Season 2 arrives at approximately the five-week mark, making Season 1 just over a month long. Brammer has said the release rhythm may change rather than follow a set schedule.

What resets when a Wardogs season ends
Each Wardogs season has its own economy. Once a major update cycle finishes, both cash and XP progression reset to zero; any cash in hand is automatically exchanged for Gold Bars, while Gold Bars and cosmetics remain permanently attached to the account.

| Balance | At season end | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Cash | Resets | Auto-converted to Gold Bars |
| XP and track levels | Reset | Unlock gates re-lock |
| Gold Bars | Kept | Permanent, account-wide |
| Cosmetics | Kept | Permanent, account-wide |
One caveat matters here. Bulkhead has not explicitly said that 15th October itself triggers the wipe. It has only committed to resets happening at the end of a major update cycle, with the reset date announced ahead of time. You will know the changeover has happened the moment you load in, because your cash balance and track levels return to their starting state and your Gold Bar total absorbs whatever cash you were sitting on.
Unlock gates re-lock, including the paid ones
With track levels resetting, level-gated rewards must be earned again. Certain gates also demand a one-time unlock payment in addition to the cost of each purchase, making that extra charge especially painful on a new track.
| Item | Price | Unlocked at | One-time fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arrow | $75 | Recon level 17 | — |
| Improved Cylinder Choke | $540 | Support level 14 | $7,500 |
| High Capacity Battery | $300 | Wardog level 45 | $50,000 |
The metal broadhead Arrow is effective against unarmored targets, weighs 0.01 kg, and is cheap enough to write off entirely. The Improved Cylinder Choke tightens pellet spread for higher pellet density and better consistency against moving targets, at the cost of density at mid to long range.
The High Capacity Battery is the expensive one. It weighs 2.0 kg, is used to recharge Drills and Defibrillators, and sits behind Wardog level 45 with a $50,000 one-time fee before you can buy a single unit.

What Bulkhead has confirmed for Season 2
Season 2 has no patch notes so far, and the studio has not identified a particular weapon, vehicle, map or mode. Its public commitments are more limited than the surrounding speculation suggests.
- The equipment roster will rotate by season: new weapons and vehicles can enter while current ones leave the progression track.
- Every season will use its own XP curve and sequence for unlocking items.
- Vehicle changes, because the current build leaves the studio unhappy with how vehicles are performing.
- Balance work is planned for the teams: blue has been recognized as the weaker side, while green wins most frequently. The studio has ruled out randomizing team spawns.
- Name-based server search is intended for Season 2, although it may arrive before then.
- Material removed to meet the Early Access deadline is now being restored.
Rotation is the part worth internalizing. Season 2 is not simply a stack of new gear piled onto everything already available, and the path to any given piece of equipment will not match Season 1’s.

Early Access is not planned as a major expansion of the raw content count. Three maps make up the current lineup, alongside 21 vehicles and 37 weapons; those figures broadly represent the scope for an Early Access period expected to last one to two years. Work is also underway on requested additions: favoriting community servers, improved warmup options, a Message of the Day prompt, tiered priority queues, and controls for switching teams. None has a specific Season 2 schedule.

How to spend the rest of Season 1 before October 15

The teaser card remains the only confirmed information until a dated changelog appears. That means a date, one helicopter, and plenty of rain.
