Amir has hijacked Nightwave. The 1999-themed takeover, Nightwave Mix: Amir’s Shockwave, is live now on every platform, turning Warframe’s free reward track into a rebel-radio broadcast hosted by Amir Beckett, the Volt Protoframe from Warframe: 1999. Alongside it comes a permanent text adventure starring The Hex, plus new music and cosmetics.
Quick answer: Finish The Teacher quest to access Nightwave, then complete daily and weekly Acts to climb 30 free reward tiers before the next Nightwave Mix begins. The Fables & Frontiers text adventure is separate and permanent, and unlocks only after you finish The Hex Quest and Finale, reach Rank 5 with The Hex Syndicate, and reach a “Close” (Rank 5) relationship with Amir.
Amir’s Shockwave: what’s live and how to access it
Amir’s Shockwave is a limited-time edition of Nightwave, Warframe’s free rewards track. There is no paywall and no way to buy your way up the tiers. You progress purely by completing gameplay challenges, called Acts, which come in Daily, Weekly, Elite Weekly, and Permanent Weekly flavors.
Open Nightwave from your Orbiter’s Navigation console, or use the Radio Scanner on the left side of the Orbiter’s bridge. There you can see your season progress, your current reward tiers, and the challenges available to you. The only entry requirement is completing The Teacher quest, the same gate as every other Nightwave series.
The broadcast itself features new voice lines from Kevin Afghani. The two headline free cosmetics are the Kaneshell Atomicycle Regalia Operator and Drifter outfit and the Globakk Syandana backpiece. This edition runs for a limited window and will likely close when the next Nightwave Mix begins, so anything exclusive should be claimed before it ends.

How standing and Cred work
Completing Acts earns standing, which pushes you through the 30 tiers. Daily Acts award 1,000 standing each, Weeklies award 4,500, and Elite Weeklies award 7,000. Elite Weekly challenges give the most, so prioritize them if you want to rank fast. Missed Weekly and Elite Weekly Acts are not lost outright. Once you have fewer than three active Weekly Acts, older uncompleted ones return, marked as Recovered, three at a time.
Certain ranks also grant Amir’s Shockwave Cred, a season-specific currency. Spend it in the Cred Offerings section of the Nightwave menu on Mods, Blueprints, Customizations, and resources. Newer players should look for Nitain Extract, Orokin Catalysts, and Orokin Reactors, since these are hard to get elsewhere. The catch is timing. When this series ends, leftover Cred can no longer buy items and can only be sold for standard Credits from your Inventory, so spend it before the season closes.
Note: If you already own a returning cosmetic from a past series, you are compensated with Cred instead of receiving a duplicate. A countdown timer appears in the Nightwave menu once the season has two weeks left, so that is your signal to finish spending.
How to unlock Fables & Frontiers: Running Late
Fables & Frontiers is a tabletop-RPG-inspired text adventure led by Amir as a Fablemaster, and it is a permanent addition that stays in the game after Amir’s Shockwave ends. It is not tied to the Nightwave track, but it does have its own gating. You need to clear several pieces of Warframe: 1999 content first.
You know it worked when the terminal lets you enter the campaign rather than showing a locked prompt, and you receive a Fables & Frontiers Dice Set Decoration for rolling initiative. If the option is greyed out, the usual cause is an unfinished requirement, most often The Hex Finale or a Chemistry level below “Close.”
The Dominion of Höllvandeim and new cosmetics
The expanded Höllvania Mall social hub now houses Amir’s game room, The Dominion of Höllvandeim. Ring the bell to pull him away from the arcade, and his stock swaps to a rotation of new and returning cosmetic rewards.
Over on the Warframe Market, the Shaoshi Collection brings new cosmetics for Baruuk. Six community-designed TennoGen items landed at the same time, listed below.

New music tracks
Three new tracks arrived with the update. On-lyne, the in-game boyband, returns with “Running Late,” which also plays in-game. Two additional Fables & Frontiers tracks join it, and all three are available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and Bandcamp.
The radio takeover is temporary, but the Hex tabletop detour is here to stay. Climb the tiers and spend your Cred while Amir controls the airwaves, then keep rolling dice in Fables & Frontiers long after the signal cuts out.
