Add to Google Preferences →Narin, the 66th Warframe, and her weapons
Narin is Warframe’s first female ice frame, built around crowd control through a mix of sword play and ice abilities. Her story ties back to the Zariman shipwreck and a certain Cephalon, and you uncover her forgotten history as part of the update. Her ability kit rewards a fast, fluid playstyle rather than slow, methodical combat.
She debuts with two signature weapons. The Nunchasa is her bow, and the Aksondol are dual ice pistols designed to lay down a spread of cold with precision.
Glacial Defiance, the six-player mode
Glacial Defiance is a new six-player squad mode. It runs on existing mission layouts that have been reworked with new twists to support the larger group. When you complete a run, the squad is transported to a new area, Melica’s Labroom, to collect earned rewards.
Opening Melica’s Labroom also changes the Zariman. New Entropic Eximus enemies begin spawning across Zariman missions, and they drop Entropic Kuva. You can trade that resource with Cephalon Melica for new update-themed wares.
Yuvan Peak, the new relay hub
Narin’s Crest appears on the Yuvan Peak, creating the newest Relay Hub in the Origin System. When you select the node, Earth rotates on the star chart to reveal a previously hidden side of the planet to explore.

Citrine Prime Access
Citrine Prime launches alongside the update with enhanced stats and gold trim. Prime Access cosmetics include the Sphatika Prime Syandana, the Alumeti Prime Sugatra weapon charm, and Spinele Prime Operator and Drifter accessories. The set also adds the Steflos Prime shotgun and the Corufell Prime scythe.
You can unlock Citrine Prime instantly through the in-game Marketplace, or earn her for free through gameplay and crafting once she enters the drop tables on September 23.
Banshee rework
Banshee gets a broad rework aimed at more combat variety and flexibility. Several of her abilities no longer root her in place, and her augments have been renamed and rebalanced. The table below covers the main changes.
| Ability | Key change |
|---|---|
| Passive | Casting abilities applies up to 5 Puncture Status on foes within 10m, and her weapon noises are hushed. |
| Sonic Boom | Cast one-handed, no longer roots her, Impact raised from 50 to 250, and strips 70% Armor (scaling to 100% with Strength). Augment renamed Sonic Siphon. |
| Sonar | Weak Spots now count as Weak Points for mod and Arcane synergy, prioritizes unmarked body parts, and no longer roots her. |
| Silence | Can be recast to reset duration and reapply the stun, and no longer roots her. |
| Sound Quake | No longer channelled; creates a 25-second area of effect with guaranteed Blast Status. Augment renamed Gaseous Quake, which takes on the old channelled behavior. |

Cosmetics, TennoGen, and quality-of-life
The update adds Deluxe cosmetics for Banshee and Qorvex. The Banshee Threnodia Collection is designed from concept art by community artist Mischka, while the Qorvex Basilica Collection, first teased at TennoCon 2026 and co-designed with Sumo Digital, draws on gothic architecture and gargoyles.
TennoGen Iceblade brings five community-made cosmetics, including the Reliquia Syandana by lex182 and THERIONDREK, the Vermis Signa headpiece by Travelling Merchant and THERIONDREK, a Gothica Signa headpiece by Malaya, Jadie, and Awk’Q-Luz, a Jade Coven Warframe Skin by blazingcobalt, and a Citrine Heliotropia Alt. Helmet by ventralhound. The Riven system also expands with stat locking (using Kuva) and stat merging (using a new resource), and there are shader changes for hair and metal tinting.
Note: A free login reward accompanies the Banshee rework, so it is worth logging in during the update window to claim it.

Epoch Operation: Taubound sets up Warframe: Tau
Following the update, a time-limited community event called Epoch Operation: Taubound begins October 15. It is designed to unite players in building the path toward Warframe: Tau, the next narrative chapter arriving later this year.
Players who have finished The Hex and The Old Peace can access a mini-quest, Prologue to Tau, which continues those events and reveals lost memories of the Lotus. Newer players can take part too. After completing the Vor’s Prize introductory quest, you can head to Eris to gather a new resource, Moonflesh, and convert it into fuel for the journey to the Tau Star System. Those who have not met the Prologue to Tau requirements can still earn event-exclusive rewards.
Taken together, Iceblade of Narin serves as both a substantial content drop and the on-ramp to Tau. If you want to be ready, get Narin and Citrine Prime built after September 23, then keep an eye on the October 15 event to start banking Tau progress.
