Water Sage (Founder) in Anime Expeditions: Tower Floor 50 Unit Explained

Clear Floor 50 of the Tower on Crimson Shore to claim this limited Hydro unit, then max its clone-driven kit.

Clear Floor 50 of the Tower on Crimson Shore to claim this limited Hydro unit, then max its clone-driven kit.

In Anime Expeditions, Water Sage (Founder) is the headline reward in the Endless Hellflame update, and the Tower is the only way to obtain it. The limited unit sits in the Exclusive tier, has Hydro as its element, and uses Physical damage. Its appearance draws on Tobirama Senju from Naruto. A clone-based mechanic boosts the unit itself, with modest gains early on that rise considerably as the battle continues.

Quick answer: Clear Floor 50 of the Tower on Crimson Shore and defeat the Abomination boss on Wave 15. Water Sage (Founder) is granted automatically on the victory screen.

Water Sage (Founder) identity and reward tags

Once the unit lands in your inventory, match its card to confirm you have the right one. It carries the label Traitless Tower Season 2 Leaderboard Reward, which is a displayed tag rather than proof of a separate clear.

You may place three copies at most; each one manages its clones and traps independently. Since the unit is limited, you can only obtain it while the Tower Floor 50 reward is available.

How to get Water Sage (Founder) from Tower Floor 50

Tower progression is the only way to get this unit, so banners are not worth spending Gems on for it. To take the direct route, use the Crimson Shore map. Tower floors assign resistances at random, so check the Stage Info panel first to learn which damage types that run will weaken.

Open the Tower game mode and select Floor 50 on Crimson Shore. Check the active reward panel and confirm Water Sage (Founder) is listed before you start the climb.
Defend through all 15 waves with your strongest lineup. Enemy waves scale up sharply, so bring reliable damage and control units.
Defeat the Abomination boss when it appears on Wave 15. Clearing that final encounter completes the floor and triggers the victory screen.

No confirmed level requirement, entry cost, or leaderboard cutoff has been established for this route. Check the current Tower panel when you open it, and meet any entry condition it lists before attempting the floor.

There are other reported ways to earn the reward, so choose the route that suits your account. You can claim the unit by finishing among the Tower leaderboard’s top 50 by the event’s end, or by clearing Floor 50 in either Normal Tower or Traitless Tower. Use the live in-game panel as your guide if it lists a route other than the one you’re attempting.

Floor 50 rewards and how to verify the unlock

A successful clear adds Water Sage (Founder) to the floor rewards automatically. Check that the result screen reads Tower Floor 50 – Crimson Shore and that the reward table below includes the unit.

Floor 50 rewardAmount
Water Sage (Founder)1
Equipment Scroll24
Trait Crystal16
Gold225
Gem225

Water Sage (Founder) x1 should appear in the clear screen’s reward list to confirm the unlock. After exiting the results, look in your Units inventory by searching the exact Founder name. A clear on a different map, or one with no Water Sage payout, isn’t proof that you unlocked it.

Water Sage (Founder) stats at level 1, level 50, and max upgrade

The unit starts at Level 1, and EXP items can bring it up to Level 50. Levels mainly improve base damage; the bigger gains come from upgrades during a match, with Upgrade 9 as the cap, and buffs accumulated by Mirror Clones as the fight progresses.

StateDMGSPARNG
Level 162912.6s12
Level 501,14113.4s12.1
Upgrade 9 (maxed)6,725–8,74310.9s23.7

At Upgrade 9 with an SSS SPA stat roll, initial damage is 6,725 and can rise to 8,743 as clones build up. Its range begins at 23.7, then grows with the clones. DPS follows that increase, climbing from 616 to a maximum of 802 at full ramp. Its displayed stats don’t show its full mid-fight output.

Use the reroll station to change stat potential. Keep the stat you want locked while rerolling the others to pursue the SSS SPA and SS-rank multipliers at the top of the range.

The four passives

Follow-up attacks and clones link every part of the kit, with each passive supporting the others. Looking at them together makes their interactions easier to understand.

Creator of Mirror Clones

Every 15 seconds the unit spawns a Mirror Clone inside its range, up to three at a time. Each clone carries 10% of the unit’s current damage and disappears after three attacks. For every clone active on the map, the main unit gains +10% damage and +10% range, so a full trio adds up to +30% damage and +30% range.

Thunder God

The unit and each clone always add a follow-up attack, and those follow-ups deal 120% of the unit’s current damage. This is the engine that drives the rest of the kit, since the other two passives count follow-up hits.

Flash Mastery

The unit builds Storm Flash charges, starting at 0 and capped at 3. Every five follow-up attacks from the unit or a clone add one charge. When the closest allied unit in range gets stunned, one charge is consumed to cleanse the stun, giving the team a passive counter to crowd control.

Bomb Tags Master

Whenever a follow-up attack lands in range, a Bomb Tag is placed where the enemy was hit, up to five at once. Each tag acts as a path trap. Enemies that trigger one take 25% of the unit’s current damage, and each trigger also cuts the unit’s SPA by 1%, up to a 5% cap that speeds up its attacks over time.

Evolution status and update context

Water Sage (Founder) currently has no evolution. There is no upgrade path for it at the Evolve station, making the Floor 50 version its final form for now.

The unit is one of six added in the Endless Hellflame update, which released on September 25, 2026, alongside Crimson Captain (Moon), Devil (Hero), Fallen Angel (Holy), Ignition Commander (Betrayal), and Wild Card (Ace). That same update brought the Boss Rush mode, the Infernal Hunt event, and new Infernal enemies that stun placed units, which is exactly what the Flash Mastery cleanse is built to answer. Among those additions, Water Sage (Founder) is the one gated behind topping the Tower, which is why its clone stacking and mid-fight scaling draw the most attention.
