If the clock is outside 20:00–6:00, He Wandao is not at Alkaid Pool. The tale cannot start and the letter cannot be turned in until that window is set.
Travel to Alkaid Pool in Driftseed Moor and speak with He Wandao. He points you toward a hidden answer sheet. That talk is the trigger that sends you after Zhang Wanshi’s Answer.
Zhang Wanshi’s Answer in Old Mohist City
The letter is on the ground inside a cave near Old Mohist City. Seeker’s Tread is the closest teleport in Hidden Mountain-Suixiang. You climb the cliffs to reach the hidden cave structure.
Open the map and teleport to Seeker’s Tread. Hidden Mountain Heaven’s Threshold is the wider slice of the map you pass through on the way to Old Mohist City.

Stay on Hidden Mountain-Suixiang while you close the remaining distance. The world map marks the objective near your player pin in that subregion.

Climb the cliffs and enter the cave. Keep moving toward the waypoint as the HUD updates. A Wait for developments line can sit on screen with a live distance, such as 126 m, while you follow the path.

Go deeper into the cave and pick up Zhang Wanshi’s Answer from the ground. The item is the only object this tale asks you to retrieve. Once it is in your inventory, the Old Mohist City run is done.
Open the Hidden Mountain–Suixiang map and teleport back to Driftseed Moor. Return to Alkaid Pool while the clock is still inside 20:00–6:00, then speak with He Wandao and give him Zhang Wanshi’s Answer.

The tale is complete when the letter is delivered and the reward claim appears. You receive Jade Fish, experience, and other upgrade materials. If He Wandao is missing, set the clock back to Chou and check Alkaid Pool again before you try the hand-in a second time.
