Strange omens have started showing up around Crownleek Terrace in Qingzhou. One is a carved stone in the mud. The other is a message stuffed inside a fish. Crown Leek is a Wandering Tale in the Greenshade Village Part 2 set, added with Where Winds Meet Version 2.3. The “supernatural” mystery is really a botched ad campaign. You solve it by collecting two items, catching the culprit at night, and carrying a letter back and forth between two NPCs.
Quick answer: Collect the Engraved Stone and the Strange Fish. Meet Yu Dun in the woods south of Crownleek Terrace at the Xu hour. Visit Yan Dacong in Greenshade Village at the Wei hour, then bring his letter back to Yu Dun.
Crown Leek requirements and quest location
Crown Leek takes place in the Eastern Peak subregion of Qingzhou. It covers Greenshade Village, Crownleek Terrace, and the coast near Stillwater Bay. Before you can reach the tale, you need access to Qingzhou:
- Reach Character Level 32.
- Complete the Chapter 1: Heaven Has No Pier main story quest.
- Start the Away to Qingzhou Lost Chapter, which opens the region.
- Be able to change the in-game time from the game menu. You need this twice during the tale.
The tale starts as soon as you examine either omen. Your first clue then appears in the Wandering Tales section of the Quest Compendium. It says bizarre omens have appeared around Crownleek Terrace.

The tale involves four quest items and two NPCs. Each NPC is tied to a specific part of the day. Here is where everything is and when to show up.
| Item or NPC | Where | When |
|---|---|---|
| Engraved Stone | Dirt path crossroad, Crownleek Terrace | Any time |
| Strange Fish | Shoreline south of Stillwater Bay | Any time |
| Cloth Strip in the Fish Belly | Inside the Strange Fish (Bag menu) | Any time |
| Yu Dun | Woods south of Crownleek Terrace | Xu hour (19:00–21:00) |
| Yan Dacong | Leek vendor’s shop, Greenshade Village | Wei hour (13:00–15:00) |
| Little Lu’s Letter to Yu Dun | Given by Yan Dacong | After the confession |
The Xu and Wei hours are a confirmed working setup. Other nighttime and daytime hours have also triggered the same encounters, including Zi for Yu Dun and Wu for Yan Dacong. The safest rule is simple: catch Yu Dun after dark, and see Yan Dacong during the afternoon.
Crown Leek walkthrough
Collect the two omens

Retrieve Object to pull the Cloth Strip in the Fish Belly out of the fish. It carries the same longevity slogan, smudged by water.
You can extract the cloth strip any time before you talk to Yu Dun. Doing it right away just means you won’t have to open the menu in the middle of the confrontation.
Catch Yu Dun at night

Deliver the letter for Yan Dacong

Crown Leek completion check and rewards
You’ll know it worked when the notification Wandering Tales: Crown Leek ending Unlocked appears right after the final talk with Yu Dun. The rewards are added immediately after that.
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Echo Jade | x30 |
| Qingzhou Exploration | x10 |
| Coin | x3,750 |
| Stored EXP | x3,750 |
| Jade Fish | x1 |
The 10 Qingzhou Exploration points count toward the region’s exploration progress. The EXP reward may be labeled Character EXP instead of Stored EXP, but the amount is 3,750 either way. Once you have the Jade Fish and the ending notification, Crown Leek is finished.
