Where Winds Meet: How to Unlock the Eonpour Inner Way

Eonpour is one of the Bamboocut – Draught Inner Ways in Where Winds Meet, and it does not come from a merchant page or a sect shop. It is locked behind a single wandering drunkard in the Hidden Mountain zone who will only hand over his knowledge after you beat him in a fight and then sit through his story.

Quick answer: Travel to Millennium Crossing in Hidden Mountain, challenge Jiu Qiansui to a duel and win, then speak to him again and pick “Listen to the Story” to receive the Skystrike Gauntlets and the Eonpour Inner Way.

Jiu Qiansui location in Hidden Mountain

Jiu Qiansui stands in the Millennium Crossing area on the southern side of the Hidden Mountain zone, in the Shenze region. The fastest approach is the Gasping Cliff Boundary Stone — he is a short run east of it, near the waterfall, and he is usually surrounded by a group of children. There is no quest to accept and no prerequisite chain to clear first. He is simply there in the open world, waiting for a challenger.

How to unlock the Eonpour Inner Way

Open your map and teleport to the southern edge of Hidden Mountain, then make your way to Millennium Crossing. Gliding down from the higher ground above the crossing saves a lot of climbing.

Walk up to Jiu Qiansui by the waterfall until his name appears with the interaction prompt on screen. Interact with him to open his dialogue options.

Pick the “Challenge” option to start the duel. He fights like a standard drunken-style opponent, so deflecting his swings on time is the cleanest way to open him up.

Whittle his health down until the fight ends. Punish him with your own combos after every successful deflection, and use the prompted follow-up attacks when they light up to close the fight out faster.

Speak to Jiu Qiansui again once he is beaten. The conversation shifts to “A Drink Well Earned,” and this is where the actual unlock lives — winning the fight on its own gives you nothing.

Choose “Listen to the Story” and let the whole scene play out. It runs for a few minutes, and the rewards only appear once the dialogue finishes.

What you get: Eonpour and the Skystrike Gauntlets

The story pays out twice. You walk away with a Martial Art and the Inner Way that supports it, and the two are designed to be run together.

Eonpour (Inner Way)	In the Inebriate state, Bamboocut – Draught skills deal 5% more base damage, rising to 10% against non-player units. In Inebriate – Deepdaze, the Skystrike Gauntlets can trigger Dragonquench – Inebriate for up to four follow-up strikes, granting Tenacity for the duration of the attack. Light Attacks with the gauntlets, including Bloombreak, build Binge Points.

How to confirm Eonpour unlocked

Both rewards pop on screen the moment the conversation ends, with their in-game descriptions shown alongside them. To double-check, open the main menu and go to Develop, then Inner Way. Eonpour should now be listed among your owned Inner Ways instead of showing an unlock clue, and you can slot it into one of your four active Inner Way slots from there.

Note: Eonpour only earns its slot if you are actually swinging the Skystrike Gauntlets. Equipping it while using an unrelated weapon wastes one of the four slots, since the game lets you attach any Inner Way regardless of whether it matches your Martial Art.

Why the unlock may not trigger

You beat Jiu Qiansui and walked away without talking to him again. The duel is only the gate, and the second conversation is what delivers the tome.
You skipped past the post-fight dialogue without selecting “Listen to the Story.” Reopen the conversation and pick that option.
You left the area before the story finished. The scene has to run all the way through for the rewards to be granted.
You are searching the wrong part of the map. He sits at Millennium Crossing in the south of Hidden Mountain, not elsewhere in Shenze.

Once Eonpour is in your collection it starts at the base tier like every other Inner Way, so pairing it with the Skystrike Gauntlets and feeding it Tips over time is what turns the Dragonquench – Inebriate follow-ups into a real damage window rather than an occasional flourish.
