Raven’s Testament is a Wandering Tale tucked into a small cave on the edge of Mirkvale, and it hides one of the more useful rewards added in Version 2.1 of Where Winds Meet. A man named Wu Zhi is stuck trying to pull an Ancient Bronze Sword out of the ground, and no amount of raw damage will free it. The quest is short, but it gates itself behind a mechanic most players never touch unless they run a support build.
Quick answer: Equip a martial art that has a healing skill — the Soulshade Umbrella or the Panacea Fan — then cast that healing skill next to the stuck Bronze Sword. A pickup prompt appears, and handing the Ancient Bronze Sword to Wu Zhi unlocks the World to Sword Mystic Skill.
Why the sword won’t move: the healing requirement
The red inscriptions carved into the cave wall are the puzzle. The verses talk about a blade that shouldn’t be praised for cutting power, but for parting clouds, letting light through, and waking sleeping insects and grass. That last line is the instruction. The sword responds to growth and restoration, not force.
The journal spells it out once you inspect the wall. The clue text reads “Try a healing technique first,” which means the game is checking for a healing skill cast in the area, not a specific weapon or a combat trigger. Swinging normal attacks at the sword or the wall with a damage weapon does nothing.
Martial arts that satisfy the check
| Martial art | Notes |
|---|---|
| Soulshade Umbrella | Its healing skill, Echoes of a Thousand Plants, works when cast beside the sword. |
| Panacea Fan | Its healing skill also triggers the prompt near the inscribed wall. |
Note: you do not need to be built as a healer. Slotting the martial art temporarily is enough, and you can swap back to your usual loadout the moment the sword pops free.

The quest sits in Heaven’s Threshold, the high-altitude area of Hidden Mountain, along the southwestern rim of Mirkvale. Follow the path around that edge and look slightly off the trail for a cave mouth with a campfire burning inside. Wu Zhi is standing next to the half-buried sword.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Quest type | Wandering Tale |
| Region | Heaven’s Threshold, Hidden Mountain |
| Area | Southwest of Mirkvale |
| Landmark | Cave with a campfire, off the rim path |
| Quest giver | Wu Zhi |
Fast travel gets you most of the way there. The Soughing Knoll landmark drops you close enough that a short trip across the forest slope brings you to the cave, so drop a waypoint south of Mirkvale before you set off.

Heaven’s Threshold itself has to be open on your server before any of this is reachable, since the region unlocks through the Cloudtop Ascent construction event rather than by walking there.
Raven’s Testament walkthrough

How to confirm the quest completed
The final dialogue with Wu Zhi ends with an on-screen unlock notice for World to Sword under Mystic Skills. Raven’s Testament also moves to the completed state in the Wandering Tales menu, where you claim the remaining rewards manually if they have not already dropped.
If nothing happens at the sword, the cause is almost always the same. Either no healing skill is equipped, or the equipped healing skill has not been cast yet, or you are standing too far from the sword and the inscribed wall when you use it.
Rewards and what World to Sword does
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Mystic Skill: World to Sword | 1 |
| Echo Jade | 30 |
| Hidden Mountain Exploration | 10 |
| Character EXP | 3,750 |
| Coin | 3,750 |
World to Sword is built for healer loadouts. It captures overhealing applied to your character, banks it, and converts that surplus into a Qi Edge you can fire at enemies, which turns wasted healing output into damage. Once you take its breakthrough, the skill also absorbs overhealing landing on allies, so it scales with how much surplus your party generates rather than with your own health bar.
It is one of two Mystic Skills introduced alongside Heaven’s Threshold, the other being Bursting Nine from the Evershift Labyrinth. Between the two, World to Sword is by far the faster to obtain — the whole Wandering Tale takes a couple of minutes once you know the healing trick, and the martial art you borrowed to solve it can go straight back into storage afterward.
