Roblox Wonderland: How to Beat the First Monster Chase on Level 4

Pull every lever, run the route, then jump into the hole instead of the locked door.

Pull every lever, run the route, then jump into the hole instead of the locked door.

The first real wall in Wonderland, the horror experience from ScaryPlay, arrives at Level 4. After a few gentle levels that teach you the controls and the basic loop, the game drops you into a monster chase that punishes any hesitation. It trips up nearly everyone on the first attempt, so if you keep dying here, it is the level design, not you.

Quick answer: Turn away from the monster the moment you regain control, sprint down the tunnel while pulling every lever with E to open the gate, clear the short parkour section, then jump into the hole at the end. Do not run to the final door, it is locked.

What triggers the Level 4 chase

The chase begins right out of a cutscene. During that cutscene the camera is pointed straight at the monster, which is the opposite of where you need to go. The instant control returns to your character, the monster is already active and moving. There is no grace period, so the first second decides how the rest of the run goes.

Tip: Before the cutscene ends, keep your hand ready on the movement and camera controls. You want to swing the camera toward the exit and start running in one motion rather than reacting after you see the monster.

Pull every lever to open the gate

The gate at the end of the tunnel stays shut until you have activated all the levers along the way. This is the core mechanic of the whole sequence. Miss a single one and the gate will not open, which means the monster catches you no matter how fast you were.

Turn the camera toward the exit and begin sprinting as soon as you can move. Do not stop to look back at the monster.
Approach each lever and press E to pull it while you are close. Every lever in the tunnel has to be interacted with, so keep an eye on both walls as you run.

Press E at each lever to keep the exit gate on track to open.
Plan a route that keeps you moving forward while still passing close enough to touch every lever. The challenge is stringing them together smoothly so you never have to double back. This is tough on your own, so bring friends if you can, since a group can split the levers and cut the risk of missing one.

Clear the parkour and take the hole, not the door

Once the gate opens, a short platforming stretch stands between you and the finish. The jumps themselves are fair, but the controls can feel loose, so take each landing deliberately rather than mashing forward.

The ending is where most solo runs fall apart. The obvious-looking door at the very end is locked and is not the exit. Ignore it. To finish the level, jump into the hole instead. That drop is what ends the chase and clears Level 4.

Why the gate won’t open, and how to know you cleared it

If the run keeps ending at the same spot, the cause is almost always a lever you skipped. The gate is a simple all-or-nothing check, so one missed pull leaves it sealed and the monster closes the gap. Retrace your route mentally and make sure you hit both sides of the tunnel next time.

You know it worked when you drop through the hole and the chase ends, moving you past Level 4. The later chase sequences in Wonderland do return, but the first one is widely considered the hardest, so clearing it is the real hurdle. Watch your back on the way through, because a worm can still show up and end the run early.
