World of Warcraft Forever: Cutting Teeth Quest Guide

Cutting Teeth is one of the first Horde tasks you take on in World of Warcraft Forever, handed out early in the Valley of Trials starting zone. It sends you into the dirt plains of Durotar to thin out the local boar population before Gornek trusts you with anything tougher.

Quick answer: Accept Cutting Teeth from Gornek, slay 10 Mottled Boars in the open ground north of the Den, then return to Gornek to hand it in.

What Cutting Teeth requires

This is a low-level Horde quest that both starts and ends with Gornek at the Den. It follows the opening steps of your class introduction and unlocks the next trials once complete.

How to complete Cutting Teeth

Talk to Gornek at the Den and accept Cutting Teeth. He asks you to hunt the boars roaming to the north as a first test of strength.

In the Valley of Trials, search the broad, dusty plains for Mottled Boars. These Level 1 to 2 beasts roam the dry ground, and many should be close by.

Attack and kill the boars until your quest tracker reaches 10/10 Mottled Boar slain. Use whatever your class has available, from ranged bow shots to melee strikes, and expect small weapon skill gains as you fight.

If other players are hunting the same area, group up with them. Shared kill credit means every boar the party downs counts toward your total, which speeds up the whole task.

Once you hit 10 kills, travel back to Gornek at the Den and turn in the quest to collect your reward.

Grab Wayward Weapons at the same time

The same stretch of ground holds a second quest worth doing in parallel. Wayward Weapons asks you to collect 3 Abandoned Training Weapons, which lie scattered on the dirt exactly where the boars roam.

The weapons show a yellow sparkle outline on the ground, so keep an eye out while you fight and pick them up as you pass. Handling both quests together means one loop through the plains finishes each of them.

Cutting Teeth rewards

Handing in the quest lets you choose one of two armor pieces, plus experience and reputation.

Pick the armor slot you are missing gear for, since both pieces are early leveling items.

How to confirm the quest is complete

Turning the quest in to Gornek removes it from your log and hands over the reward, which is your clearest sign it registered. Completing it also opens up the next set of Valley of Trials trials against tougher foes.
