World of Warcraft: Graverobbers Quest Guide (Tirisfal Glades)

Graverobbers is one of those early Tirisfal Glades quests that stalls people for a dumb reason: the objectives live in two different places, and the quest marker only points at one of them. The Rot Hide Graverobbers sit in a small camp among the burial mounds. The Rot Hide Mongrels do not. Once you know that, the whole thing takes a few minutes.

Quick answer: Kill 8 Rot Hide Graverobbers at the mass grave camp near 55, 41, then kill 5 Rot Hide Mongrels in the farmland at Garren’s Haunt near 58, 34, looting Embalming Ichor from both.

Where Graverobbers starts and what it asks for

On modern retail, the quest comes from Apprentice Crispin at [61.6, 34.4] in Tirisfal Glades, and you hand it back to him at the same spot. It is a Horde quest and it is sharable, so a group can all grab it off one person. Everything happens inside Tirisfal Glades — there is no travel to another zone.

Classic runs the same quest with a different owner and a slightly heavier ichor requirement, so check which version you are playing before you start counting flasks.

Open your map before you leave town. The highlighted objective area sits in the woods north of Brill, and it accurately covers the Graverobbers and their ichor drops — just not the Mongrels.

Pick up Doom Weed before you head out. Its collection area overlaps the ground you will be walking anyway.

Rot Hide Graverobber location: the mass grave camp

Head north out of Brill and into the forest until you reach the mass graves. The camp is small and easy to run past — look for cloth tents pitched between freshly turned burial mounds, roughly around 55, 41, south of Garren’s Haunt.

Clear the gnolls patrolling between the tents. They are grouped tightly enough that a careless pull brings two or three at once, so tag one at a time from the edge of the camp and work inward.

Loot every corpse. Embalming Ichor drops from these gnolls, and it is the objective most likely to lag behind your kill count. Respawns here are quick, so if you hit 8/8 kills without enough flasks, just keep circling the camp.

Rot Hide Mongrel location: the Garren’s Haunt fields

This is where people get stuck. Mongrels are a separate spawn from the Graverobbers, and grinding the camp forever will never advance the 5/5 counter. Head east and north to Garren’s Haunt, the abandoned farm above the grave site.

Do not trust the blue circle for this objective. The highlighted quest area tracks the Graverobbers and their ichor, and the Mongrels sit outside it, up near the farm buildings and crop rows.

Push north into the tilled farmland rows around 58, 34. The Mongrels pack in thickly across the crop fields, and they drop Embalming Ichor too, so anything you still owe on the flask count finishes here alongside the kills.

Turn in Graverobbers and confirm it completed

With all three lines showing complete in the tracker, run back south to Apprentice Crispin and hand it in. In Classic, you return the ichor to Magistrate Sevren in Brill instead. The turn-in dialogue confirms it worked — Crispin thanks you and says the fluid taken from the Rot Hides will be studied by his master.

You choose one of two reward pieces, plus a small coin payout and 250 reputation with Undercity.

Completing it opens Maggot Eye as the follow-up on retail. On Classic, the turn-in unlocks Forsaken Duties and The Prodigal Lich instead. Either way, you are done with the gravesite and can carry on with the rest of the Tirisfal chain from Brill.
