Every new human priest starts in Northshire Valley, and the first real roadblock is finding someone who will actually teach you a spell. The trainer is not in the Main Hall, not upstairs, and not outside with the warlocks in the graveyard. She is tucked into the ground floor of the abbey’s Library Wing, a short right turn away from the path most players take by accident.

Northshire Abbey sits in Northshire Valley, in the foothills of Elwynn Forest just east of Stormwind. The building is split into three parts. The Hall of Arms is on one side, the Library Wing is on the other, and the Main Hall connects them. Anetta shares the Library Wing with the mage trainer, Khelden Bremen, which is why players hunting for a priest sometimes stop at the wrong NPC.

Anetta also hands out the quest Join the Battle! for players at the very start of the zone. Separately, part of her job at the abbey is patching up the Wounded Trainees scattered through the halls, which is the hook for the old priest-only quests tied to the starting area.
How to confirm you found the right NPC
The gold text under her name reads <Priest Trainer>, and clicking her on a priest character opens a training list with purchasable ranks rather than a dialogue box. That list appearing is your confirmation.
If you get a single line of flavor text instead, telling you not to turn your back on the Light, you are not on a priest. She is friendly to both Alliance and Horde players, but she will only train priests. The other common mix-up is walking past her entirely: going up the Library Wing stairs takes you to the upper floor room, where she is not.
Where to train once Anetta runs out of spells
In WoW Classic, Anetta only teaches abilities through level 6, so her list dries up quickly. The next stop is Priestess Josetta, who works out of the second floor of the Lion’s Pride Inn in Goldshire, southwest of Northshire and the closest town to the abbey. After that, the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind holds Brother Benjamin, Brother Joshua, and High Priestess Laurena for higher ranks.
One note on newer builds of the game: some quests Anetta once offered, including Healing the Wounded, were pulled from retail in patch 5.0.4 and survive only in Classic. Her location and her role as the abbey’s priest trainer have not moved.
