Where to find Prickly Pear Fruit

The Razormane Grounds is a canyon located west of Razor Hill and northwest of the Valley of Trials. On the map it shows up as the highlighted objective area in Durotar. The fruit grows on tall green cacti scattered along the canyon floor and up the cliff walls, marked by red fruit nodes near the base of each plant.

The area is patrolled by Razormane Scouts, Razormane Quilboars, and Razormane Outrunners, all around level 6 to 7. You do not need to kill them to loot the cacti, but many nodes sit right next to enemies, so combat is usually unavoidable.

How to complete This Fruit Could Bite Back

Travel to the Razormane Grounds canyon west of Razor Hill. Enter through the ravine and work your way up the slopes toward the cactus clusters.

Clear the Razormane Scouts and Outrunners blocking the path. At level 6 or 7, pull one enemy at a time, since their damage can overwhelm an under-geared character if you draw multiple foes.

Look for the tall green cacti with red fruit growing on and around their base. These appear both on the canyon floor and along the cliff ledges.

Use the right mouse button on a cactus cluster to obtain a Prickly Pear Fruit. Every successful interaction increases the total by one, displayed in your quest tracker as Prickly Pear Fruit 1/8.

Move along the cliffs and canyon floor, clearing enemies and looting nodes until you reach 8 Prickly Pear Fruit. Nodes respawn over time, so you can farm the same spots if you run short.

Cactus nodes refresh as you work through the canyon, meaning you rarely have to wander far to top off the last few fruits.

Pair it with Encroachment for faster progress

Pick up the Encroachment quest before you head out. It sends you to kill the same Razormane Scouts, Quilboars, and Outrunners in the Razormane Grounds, so every enemy you clear on the way to the cacti counts toward both objectives at once.

Once you hold all 8 Prickly Pear Fruit, return to Cook Torka in Razor Hill to hand them in. The quest completes as soon as you deliver the fruit, and you receive the rewards below.
