World of Warcraft: Where to Find the Ratchet Innkeeper (Innkeeper Wiley)

The innkeeper for the goblin port of Ratchet is Innkeeper Wiley, a goblin who runs the Broken Keel Tavern in The Barrens on Kalimdor. He lets you set your Hearthstone to Ratchet and sells basic food and drink to recover health and mana between fights.

Quick answer: From the Ratchet docks, follow the main cobblestone path uphill to the northwest, pass Jaxik’s General Goods, and enter the large building with red banners at the top of town. Wiley stands in the center room.

Ratchet sits on the eastern coast of The Barrens, a neutral goblin harbor open to both Alliance and Horde players. Wiley is found inside the Broken Keel Tavern, the largest building at the upper tier of the settlement. In-game map coordinates in the classic layout put the inn at roughly 62, 39.

How to reach the Broken Keel Tavern from the docks

Start at the southern dock entrance of Ratchet. Face inland and take the main cobblestone road that climbs toward the northwest.

Keep going up the slope and pass Jaxik’s General Goods on your right. Do not stop at the shop; continue along the rise.

At the top of town, head for the large stone-and-plaster building draped with red cloth over its arched entrance. Walk in through the central archway.

Once inside, locate Innkeeper Wiley at the room’s center. Right-click him to view his dialogue.

Set your Hearthstone and browse his goods

Wiley’s dialogue offers two options. Choose “Make this inn your home.” to bind your Hearthstone to Ratchet, which makes it your return point when you use the item. Choose “I want to browse your goods.” to open his vendor window.

His stock is standard recovery food and drink, sold in stacks of five. The exact selection scales with level, but the core items are consistent.

How to confirm your Hearthstone is bound to Ratchet

After selecting the home option, a confirmation message appears telling you your home is now set to Ratchet. Hovering over your Hearthstone item afterward shows Ratchet as the bind location. From that point, using the Hearthstone returns you to the Broken Keel Tavern, so you can quest across The Barrens and hop back to town quickly.
