The Gilded SMG gives the submachine gun a gold finish, and getting it takes little more than a free account. It does not change how the weapon fires or handles. There are no challenges to beat and nothing to grind, so the only thing standing between you and the skin is linking the right account to the game you already own.
Quick answer: Own 007 First Light, create or sign in to an IOI account at account.ioi.dk, link your platform, then equip the Gilded SMG from Customizations, Weapons once you clear the prologue.

What you need to claim the Gilded SMG
Two conditions unlock the reward, and nothing else is required.
- A copy of 007 First Light on your platform.
- An IO Interactive (IOI) account linked to that platform.
Players who already have an IOI account receive the skin automatically, so their inventory updates without any extra steps.

Confirm the skin in Rewards & Bonuses
With the account signed in and linked, open the Rewards & Bonuses tab. The rewards you have unlocked appear on the right-hand side, and the Gilded SMG should be listed there once the link is in place.
If it does not show up right away, scroll to the bottom of the page and press Request Updates to sync your entitlements. Changes can take up to 15 minutes to appear.
When the reward is still missing, the platform profile may be unlinked or the wrong profile may be connected. Check Linked accounts again and link the profile you use to play.

Equip the Gilded SMG in-game
Getting the skin and putting it on are separate actions. The customization menu becomes available only after you progress beyond the prologue and opening chapters, so a new save has to advance before the option appears.
You will know it worked when the gold finish shows on the weapon in the customization preview and stays equipped when you return to play. The skin is purely cosmetic and leaves the weapon’s stats untouched.
