007 First Light is an easy, single-playthrough platinum. IO Interactive built it with the same stealth-action foundations as the Hitman series, but the story runs on rails across 17 linear chapters, and most of the trophy list takes care of itself as you play. The only deliberate work is sweeping up 92 collectibles and spending about half an hour in the online TacSim mode after the credits.
007 First Light platinum requirements and setup
There are no missable trophies and nothing glitched, though a few unlocks can lag behind, especially collectible totals and TacSim Clearance Level 3. You only need one playthrough, and Chapter Select lets you replay any section afterward to clean up. The game has no New Game+ and uses a single autosave, but you get five profile slots if you want separate runs without overwriting progress.

Step 1: Play the story and collect all 92 items
The bulk of the platinum happens across one full run of the 17 chapters. Eighteen trophies pop automatically through story progress, so the only thing to actively track is collectibles. Pick them up as you go rather than after the fact, because there is no per-chapter collectible tracker. Pressing the Touchpad shows totals by category, and that view is disabled in certain story sections.
If you miss anything, it is not lost. Chapter Select reopens every level, and the menu shows your progress per type so you can target what is still outstanding. The final collectible reward only unlocks once every category is complete.
| Collectible type | Count | Trophy |
|---|---|---|
| Playing Cards | 36 | Casino Royale (Silver) |
| Intel (MI6 Files) | 23 | For your eyes only (Silver) |
| Mementos | 14 | Recovered assets (Silver) |
| Postcards | 10 | The world is not enough (Silver) |
| Legacy Items | 9 | (counts toward the full set) |
| All collectibles | 92 | A collector's habit (Gold) |
Story trophies and where each one unlocks
You cannot miss any of these. They fire either during a key moment or at the end of the listed chapter, just from advancing the plot.

Combat trophies and the best chapters to earn them
These five usually pop on their own during normal firefights. If any slip past you, repeat the listed encounter through Chapter Select, or knock them out in TacSim after the story. Most are about timing rather than skill.
| Trophy | How to trigger it | Good spot |
|---|---|---|
| Soft landing | Hold R2 on an enemy near a drop and run into the ledge so you fall together; keep R2 held for the full animation | Chapter 5: A New Home, "Search the Compound" (Steal the flag) |
| Sleight of hand | Shoot the weapon out of an aiming enemy's hand | Comes naturally during Chapter 3 training |
| Positively shocking | Drag an enemy (hold R2) into a taser enemy's blue aim line so the shock hits the one you're pushing | Chapter 8: All the Time in the World, "The laundry" |
| Short fuse | Shoot an enemy mid-throw so he drops his grenade; use L3 or the Q-Watch (L1) to slow time | Chapter 10 "Ambush"; also Chapter 11 "Webb Exhibition" |
| He'll live | Keep shooting an enemy in the legs until he goes down | Any sustained shootout |
Step 2: Finish the TacSim online trophies
TacSim is the online-only mode, so you need an internet connection for these. Escalations open up after Chapter 6: A Night Out, but Operations only appear once the main story is finished. After the credits, you can reach TacSim straight from the Title Screen. The whole set takes only a few minutes.
Step 1: Connect online and open TacSim. Complete 3 Escalations to reach Tier 3. Each one runs roughly one to three minutes.
Step 2: Complete 1 Operation, which is a short replay of a story encounter with new objectives. Budget about three minutes.
Step 3: Reach Clearance Level 3, the mode's main rank. If you aren't there automatically after the other tasks, replay the shortest Escalations and finish their in-match Challenges (press Touchpad to view them) for fast XP.

How to confirm the platinum
You'll know each milestone landed when the matching trophy notification appears. Collectible trophies only pop after a full category is complete, and the Gold "A collector's habit" requires all 92 items, so check the menu progress if it feels delayed. Once every other trophy is earned, "The name's Bond. James Bond" unlocks automatically as the platinum. No downloadable content is needed.
If a trophy seems stuck, the usual cause is a delayed counter rather than a true bug. Collectible totals and TacSim Clearance Level 3 are the most common ones to lag, so finishing one more Escalation or re-entering the collectible menu will normally push the unlock through.
