Collect six Corrupt Shards, clear every room, and beat the Corrupter for the Void Slicer and a permanent Day Multiplier.

The Corruption Dungeon is the toughest end-game area in 100 Days at Sea, hidden behind the Corruption Portal on the Cargo Ship. Getting inside takes six Corrupt Shards, and finishing it means surviving a string of combat rooms, memory puzzles, and a 20,000 HP boss called the Corrupter.

Quick answer: Collect six Corrupt Shards, activate the Corruption Portal on the Cargo Ship, clear every room (Explosive, Color Puzzles, Chest Mimics, and Weights), then defeat the Mini-Corrupter and the Corrupter to earn 5 Pearls, the Void Slicer, and a permanent +1 Day Multiplier.

How to get six Corrupt Shards

Corrupt Shards drop to the ground after you finish certain activities, and any player nearby can pick them up. You need six in total to power the portal. The Kraken and Greenbeard can be beaten repeatedly, so those two are the reliable way to top up if you fall short.

SourceHow it drops
KrakenDefeat it during a Kraken Raid (repeatable)
GreenbeardDefeat him on the Ghost Galleon (repeatable)
Biome BossDefeat the map’s Biome Boss
Ancient SquidSolve the ruins puzzle to summon it, then defeat it
Purple ChestOpen the chest on top of the Cargo Ship
MukuMuku MerchantBuy one with Pearls when the merchant raft appears

Note: once the dungeon is unlocked, extra Corrupt Shards serve no further purpose, so there is no reason to stockpile beyond six.

Activate the Corruption Portal on the Cargo Ship

With all six shards in hand, head to the Cargo Ship and interact with the Corruption Portal. The shards slot into the portal frame and fully activate it, opening the way into a dark, purple-hued dimension.

Corruption Dungeon entrance
The Corruption Portal shows an “E Open” prompt once all six shards are placed.

Inside, the dungeon is a ring of connected rooms that loop around a central Boss Room. You start facing three doors. Take the right-side door first, which leads into the Explosive Section. After clearing everything, you circle back through the left-side door. The central door opens into the Corrupter Boss Room only after every section is done.

What to bring before entering

Almost every enemy inside uses ranged attacks, so a strong ranged weapon like the Boomstick or Raygun matters far more than melee. Many enemies have high HP and hit hard, and standing still gets you dropped quickly.

Food is scarce once you are inside, so pack plenty before you go. Chowder, Pizza Slices, and Meat are good choices for long runs. You can leave the dungeon at any point and your progress stays saved, which is useful if you need to heal, restock food, or deal with a special Night. Night Raids do not happen while you are inside, so your base is safe during the run.

Enemy rooms and enemy types

Enemy rooms sit between the main sections and hold multiple enemies plus Chests. These foes carry a lot of HP and can hit you from range, so keep moving and use cover.

EnemyThreat
Corrupt Saber WielderMelee attacker that deals heavy damage up close
Corrupt MinigunnerRanged attacker with strong burst damage
Red and Blue JellyfishClose-range swarmers that surround you fast

The Explosive Section can also throw Alien Warriors, Wolves, and Ghost Pirates at you between rooms.

Explosive Section: destroy four walls

The first major section blocks your path with four unstable rock walls. You start with four Oil Barrels. Place one barrel in front of each wall and detonate it to break through.

Explosive Section

If you waste a barrel, press the green button near the barrel spawn to summon more. That safety net means a misplaced explosion won’t lock you out of the section.

Color Puzzle Sections: repeat the sequence

There are three Color Puzzle rooms. Each has a machine that flashes a sequence using four colors (Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue) and four matching buttons. Watch the sequence, then press the buttons back in the same order.

Color Section

The order is random each time, so it comes down to memory. The sequences get longer as you go.

PuzzleSequence length
First Color Puzzle2 colors
Second Color Puzzle4 colors
Third Color Puzzle9 colors

Chest Mimic Room: find three batteries

This room is packed with Chests, but some are Mimics that bite when you get close. Your goal is to collect three batteries hidden among the real chests.

Shoot each Chest with your harpoon before you approach. A Mimic reveals itself when hit, so stay ready to fight the moment one wakes up. Once you have all three batteries, place them in the dedicated slots to open the next door.

Weights Room: hit exactly 132 kg

The Weights Room has a balance showing your current weight against a required weight. You start at 0 kg and need to reach exactly 132 kg using three types of crates.

Weight section
CrateWeight
Light1 kg
Medium10 kg
Heavy50 kg

Drag the crates or pull them with your Harpoon onto the balance. The fastest exact total is two Heavy crates, three Medium crates, and two Light crates, which lands on 132 kg and opens the boss door.

How to defeat the Corrupter

A Mini-Corrupter appears first. Clear it, and the main Corrupter spawns. At 20,000 HP, it is the tankiest enemy in the game, so damage output and positioning both matter.

The Alien Warlord Class is the strongest pick for this fight. It starts you with the Alien Armor and the Raygun, both end-game gear, and maxing the class gives the best results.

Corruption Doorway strategy

A reliable tactic is to stay out of the boss room entirely. Position on top of the doorway and fire down at the Corrupter with the Boomstick or Raygun. The boss occasionally teleports to the doorway, so back away immediately when it does, then resume once it repositions.

The Corrupter summons Red and Blue Jellyfish throughout the fight. Be careful stepping into the boss room after the kill, since leftover Jellyfish can finish you off while your HP is low.

Corruption Dungeon rewards

Beating the Corrupter hands over a set of end-game rewards. You will know it worked when the Corruption Most Foul badge unlocks and the Void Slicer lands in your inventory.

Void SlicerNew purple sword weapon

The dungeon can be run again as many times as you like, and each clear grants another Day Count Multiplier. That makes it the go-to loop for stacking multipliers and stretching a single survival run well past its normal limits.
