Villages are the fastest head start Minecraft gives you. Beds set your spawn, farms hand you food, and naturally spawning Iron Golems guard you while you build. The catch is that random worlds don't always drop a village near where you load in. The fix is simple: feed the game a specific seed and you land in a copy of a world someone has already mapped, complete with known coordinates.
The codes below are split between Java and Bedrock because the two editions generate the same broad terrain but place structures and caves differently. Always match the seed to your edition, then walk to the listed coordinates if the village isn't right at spawn.
How to enter a Minecraft village seed
Step 1: Launch Minecraft, click Singleplayer, then choose Create New World.
Step 2: Open the World tab at the top of the screen and paste your chosen seed into the Seed box. Letters, numbers, or a full phrase all work, since the game converts whatever you type into a number string.
Step 3: Click Create New World. To confirm you loaded the right one, press Enter in chat, type /seed, and check that the number matches.

1. Delayed Swamp Villages (Java)
Seed: -2778224909341529171

Swamp villagers still have no home of their own, so this seed does the next best thing by dropping a savanna village right beside a mangrove swamp at 705, 62, 225. Set your spawn there, then dig up a hidden beach treasure chest at -759, 120, -73. A Pillager Outpost sits at -752, 100, -256 and a Trial Chamber waits at -871, -15, 105 once you have decent gear.
2. Exposed mineshaft next to a village (Java)
Seed: 5636173029472278327

This is the strongest all-round survival start here. The ravine village at 208, 100, -288 opens straight into an exposed mineshaft at 215, 9, -261, so you can grab early resources and retreat to safety fast. A Trial Chamber at 137, -13, -199 gives you a shot at Mace components, and both a spider dungeon (177, -50, -287) and a zombie dungeon (277, -4, -195) sit close by.
3. Villagers under siege (Bedrock)
Seed: -4541735665408914819

A Pillager Outpost spawns in the middle of this plains village at 272, 82, 249, and the raiders start cutting down villagers the moment you load in. The lone Iron Golem can't hold them off without your help. Step in and you can free Allays from the outpost cage and grab a goat horn. The nearby beach at -184, 102, 392 hides a cluster of treasure chests for an early loot rush.
4. Village stuck in a swamp (Bedrock)
Seed: 618942075558609331

Push through the dense mangrove swamp from spawn and you reach a small desert pocket holding a zombie village at 872, 79, 744. Clear it out and repopulate it, or just use the shell as a base. A Ruined Portal sits next door at 856, 90, 728 for a cheap Nether trip, with Trial Ruins at 871, -16, 775.
5. Village inside a Pale Garden (Java)
Seed: 37021689

The Pale Garden is meant to be rare and far from spawn, but here a plains village generates next to it, inside it, and even beneath it at 54, 82, 108. A Woodland Mansion looms at 81, 100, 139, and a ravine at 117, 33, 139 drops you toward an Amethyst Geode at 155, -13, 149. This is one of the largest village spawns on the list.
6. Speedrun village and stronghold (Java)
Seed: 9232

This one is built for fast End runs. You spawn near a stronghold whose End Portal at 1146, 31, -828 already holds five Eyes of Ender, far above the usual zero to two. Grab supplies from the loot village at -159, 70, 119, hit a shipwreck at 200, 100, -104 for early iron, and use the mineshaft at 296, 150, -72 if you need diamonds.
7. Seven villages near spawn (Bedrock)
Seed: -997106344756191692

If you want quantity, this snowy taiga start surrounds you with seven villages, four taiga and three snowy, all within about a thousand blocks. Start at the taiga village at 200, 112, -328 and the snowy village at 261, 100, 147. A Ruined Portal at 344, 110, 104 lets you shortcut between them through the Nether, and a treasure chest sits at 392, 120, 280.
8. Jungle temple beside a mixed village (Bedrock)
Seed: 1087547752018957070

Jungle villages don't exist, but here jungle villagers share a settlement with plains villagers at -868, 105, 184, with a Jungle Temple to loot at -778, 100, 164. Dig straight down from the village and you hit a Stronghold at -876, 50, 164 and an Ancient City at -632, -51, 216, which makes this a strong speedrun pick too.
9. Desert pyramid in a village ringed by swamp (Bedrock)
Seed: 2634434878889597772

A small desert chunk surrounded by water and mangrove swamp packs in a full village at -200, 75, 264, complete with wells and a Desert Temple at -136, 100, 248 that can hide Golden Apples. A mineshaft at -424, 110, 376 rounds out the early resource options.
10. Survival island village (Bedrock)
Seed: -2927611868038818840

This savanna village at 264, 71, -376 sits on a large island, combining the resources of a settlement with the challenge of an ocean start. Build a boat and you can reach a Warm Ruin at 344, 71, -264, a shipwreck at 424, 90, 120, and an Ocean Monument at 328, 71, 56. The seed generates a village on both editions, though the placement shifts slightly.
11. Flowering mountaintop village (Java)
Seed: 3821725889229843661

A plains village perches on a mountain at 329, 130, 43, wrapped in flower forests on every side, with a Cherry Grove nearby at 163, 132, 128. The flowers make it an easy spot for a bee farm. Copper and iron veins at -48, 8, 8 and 132, 32, 32 cover early metal needs, and a zombie dungeon at 238, 65, 59 is ready for a mob farm.
12. Spawn beside a zombie village (Java)
Seed: 135132278163449878

Zombie villages rarely show up in Java, but this Cherry Grove spawn puts one at 16, 71, 64. Leave before dark, and avoid digging straight down to make a base, because underground lava pools and a mineshaft at -18, 51, 19 can kill you fast. An Amethyst Geode sits near spawn at 39, -48, -17.
13. Beach village with a fossil (Java)
Seed: 5162814022826884536
This seaside desert village at 0, 70, -176 generates with a rare skull fossil at 64, -44, -211 sitting right in the middle of it. Three mineshafts and a large cave near spawn keep you mining for diamond, iron, gold, and copper, with a Trial Chamber at 89, -27, 137 for stronger loot later.
14. Coral village over the ocean (Java)
Seed: -6537256334104833826
A village floats above the ocean beside a tall mountain at 143, 65, 128, an awkward but striking spot for an oceanic base. Mind the fall damage on the climb down. Nearby you'll find an Ancient City at 200, -51, 24, two shipwrecks, and a Warm Ruin cluster at 88, 120, -248 that bundles eight ruins together.
15. Smallest plains village (Java)
Seed: -7886380746855669117
To close out, a tiny plains village at -286, 94, 174 wraps around a small hill with just a farmer, an ironsmith, and two other villagers. It's the minimalist option, enough to get by without the sprawl. Three more villages sit at 240, 100, -192, -816, 120, 284, and -2704, 110, 48 if you want to expand.
With a fresh Minecraft drop expected later in 2026, seed behavior can shift between versions, so generate these on the edition listed and confirm the location with the coordinates above before committing to a base. Plains, savanna, taiga, snowy, and desert biomes are where villages naturally form, so any seed that lands you near one of those is worth keeping for your next world.
