2026 Video Game Release Dates: Every Confirmed Launch by Month

2026 is shaping up to be one of the most loaded release years in recent memory. It marks the first full calendar year for the Switch 2, and it ends with the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, currently dated for November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Between those bookends sits a steady run of sequels, remakes, and new IP across every platform. Below is the full confirmed schedule for the rest of 2026, organized by month, plus the major titles still waiting on firm dates.

Games releasing in June 2026

June leans on cult RPG comebacks and a few sports tentpoles. Gothic 1 Remake brings back the prison-colony grit on June 5, while Final Fantasy VII Rebirth makes its Switch 2 debut on June 3. Star Fox returns on Switch 2 at the end of the month.

Games releasing in July 2026

July’s marquee release is Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft’s long-rumored remake of the 2013 pirate adventure, locked for July 9. It anchors a month otherwise stacked with remasters and RPGs.

Games releasing in August 2026

August stays lighter but includes two notable fighters and RPG launches. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls hits PS5 and PC on August 6, and Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 lands late in the month.

September is one of the busiest months of the year, headlined by the PS5 exclusive Marvel’s Wolverine on September 15. Silent Hill: Townfall and Control Resonant both land on September 24, alongside a wave of remasters and RPG sequels.
