Big Walk Chairlift: How to Solve All Five Green Tower Puzzles

Finish these five nearby puzzles, cut the Green Tower key, and switch on the chairlift for the Big Sit achievement.

Finish these five nearby puzzles, cut the Green Tower key, and switch on the chairlift for the Big Sit achievement.

The chairlift in Big Walk is one of the fastest ways to cross the island, and it also links you toward the Blue, Yellow, and Black Tower regions with far less walking. To switch it on, you need to complete five Green Tower puzzles, collect five rewards, and shape the key that sits at the top of the tower.

Quick answer: Solve any five Green Tower puzzles to earn five collectibles, place them in the slots on the roof of the Green Tower to receive the key, run that key through all five key cutters, then insert the finished key at the chairlift station beside the tower to start it.

What you need before the chairlift turns on

The chairlift station sits directly next to the Green Tower, marked by a blue structure with a red floor and an empty key slot. The key that fits it is found at the top of the Green Tower, but it only appears after you drop five puzzle rewards into the roof slots.

There is no fixed order for the puzzles, and the rewards are not tied to a specific tower color. The five below are grouped close to the Green Tower, so they are the quickest to clear as a set. Most of them need at least two players, and the game scales objectives for groups of two, three, or four.

Orange Barn puzzle

You will find the Orange Barn near the railway track. This one requires two players because you get locked in as soon as you claim the reward.

Press the buttons next to the two doorways. This unlocks the collectible, but it also traps one player inside the room.

The trapped player finds a second hidden switch on one of the pillars and activates it. This reveals a pattern of tiles that must be recreated on a pegboard.
Because text and voice chat are blocked by the barrier, use hand and facial gestures, or tap the barrier for sound signals, to guide your partner. The partner places the matching tiles on the pegboard until the sequence lines up, and the barrier lifts.

4166, 1899 coordinate puzzle

This puzzle sits near the timer cannon at one of the train stations. The numbers written on the board, 4166 and 1899, are a map coordinate pointing to a spot near the broken-down train on the way up to the Green Tower.

Coordinate puzzle in Big Walk
One player stays at the locked box next to the puzzle board. The other player uses the map to travel to the coordinate to the south.
At the coordinate, look behind a set of rocks for a switch. Keep the switch pressed so the box unlocks, letting the player at the box grab the collectible.
Activating the switch

Blue Signal puzzle

Right by the broken train you will find a green structure holding a set of blue signals. This one is a counting task, so player positioning matters.

Before starting, spread your teammates so every signal screen is covered. If a platform is left unwatched, images shown there get missed and your count will be wrong.
Activate the switch at the entrance. A random number of faces flashes across the blue signals. Count every image that appears.
Add up the totals from all players, then enter that number on the blue device. A correct entry unlocks the collectible.
Inputting the correct number

Yellow Stand puzzle

On the way up to the Green Tower you pass a circular blue arena filled with yellow stands. A switch sits beside the locked collectible. The goal is to activate only the correct stands until the meter in the middle reaches 100 percent.

Look inside the glass on each stand. Only activate the ones that show a green glowing item. Avoid any stand with a red bulb.
If you hit a red stand, press the switch next to the collectible to reset your progress and start over. The correct stands do not follow a set pattern.
Mark the wrong stands with light bulbs or carried items so you skip them on the next attempt. Once you activate only green stands, the meter fills to 100 percent and the collectible unlocks.

Beach House puzzle

Past the Green Tower, head toward the beach and you will find two beach houses. You need a player in each house, since one shows the images and the other reads the answer.

In the first beach house, activate the mechanism next to the collectible on the ground floor. It displays a set number of head images.
Go upstairs to the tiles and build the number of heads you saw. Each tile has a value, so combine them to match the total.
TileValue
Triangle10
Asterisk5
Single line1

For example, if 20 images appeared, place two triangle tiles. Press the button and the display board rises so the other house can read it.

The player in the second beach house uses the telescope to read that board, then enters the number. Without the telescope, the only other way to pass the number is a walkie-talkie. A correct entry unlocks the final collectible.

Cut the key and start the chairlift

With all five collectibles in hand, the last steps are the same for every tower in the game.

Return to the top of the Green Tower and place the five rewards in the roof slots. The key appears on the back of the panel, so grab it and carry it downstairs.
Run the key through all five key cutters near the tower. Follow the directional marker on each cutter to find the next one. A key that fits the chairlift slot but does nothing is usually still only partly shaped, so make sure every cutter has been used.
Take the finished key under the chairlift canopy beside the Green Tower and insert it into the slot. The chairs begin circulating along the line.

How to confirm the chairlift is active

Once the key is inserted, the chairs start moving in a loop and reverse direction at each end of the line. To unlock the Big Sit achievement, you must actually board and remain seated on a moving chair. Standing at the station or next to a stopped chair does not count.

In multiplayer, one player switching on the chairlift does not grant Big Sit to everyone. Each person chasing the achievement needs to sit on a moving chair themselves. Keep in mind there is no way to talk to other passengers unless they are sitting next to you or you are holding a walkie-talkie, so decide who is riding where before you climb on.
