The full rundown of over 100 tuning changes across Fruits, Fighting Styles, Swords, Guns, Races, and core combat.

The full rundown of over 100 tuning changes across Fruits, Fighting Styles, Swords, Guns, Races, and core combat.

Blox Fruits just pushed its largest PvP tuning pass in a long time, and it rewrites a lot of the meta at once. The Summer PvP balance patch touches Fruits, Fighting Styles, Swords, Guns, Races, and the underlying combat systems, with 26 buffs, 8 nerfs, and 5 reworked entries that add new tradeoffs instead of simply moving numbers up or down.

Quick answer: Dark, Dough, Quake, Tiger, Werewolf, Spider, and Ghost came out ahead among Fruits, while Kitsune and Empyrean Kitsune took the heaviest cuts. Ghoul v4, Dragonheart, Yama, Skull Guitar, Sanguine, and Lightning were nerfed to pull them out of the top spots. There are no new codes in this update.

What the Summer PvP patch changes first

The goal of the patch is straightforward. Underused builds get pushed up, dominant picks get toned down, and a handful of long-running exploits get patched so competitive fights stay consistent. If you have been leaning on one fixed loadout, expect it to feel different the moment you load in. The full patch is documented in the developer’s own Balance Log.

  • Fruits saw the biggest overhaul, with buffs spread across Dark, Dough, Quake, Tiger, Werewolf, Spider, Ghost, and several more.
  • Death Step, Sharkman Karate, Dark Blade, Pole V2, Kabucha, and Venom Bow are the standout gains outside the Fruit category.
  • Ghoul v4, Dragonheart, Yama, Skull Guitar, Sanguine, and Lightning were all pulled down to reduce their PvP dominance.
  • Shark v4, Pain, Diamond, Control, and True Triple Katana were reworked rather than straight buffed or nerfed.
  • Gun M1 attacks now use Aim Assist, and Instinct dodge regeneration dropped from 40 seconds to 30 seconds.

Fruit balance changes

Fruits took the largest share of the patch, ranging from small hitbox tweaks to fully new mechanics. Kitsune and its Empyrean form lost their Instinct-breaking openers and now channel on hit, which is a major hit to their combo pressure.

Fighting Style changes

Only a few styles moved, but each shift is large enough to change how combos chain. Sharkman Karate’s C now grants temporary health based on damage absorbed and can no longer be Instinct-tricked, turning it into a defensive tool.

Death StepBuffedZ range and hitbox up 50%; C damage over time up 20% with end-lag cut to 0.1s; V cooldown and duration both down 50%.

Sword changes

Older blades got some love while a couple of dominant PvP picks lost their edge. Yama’s X no longer breaks Instinct and only drains it while the target stays inside the hitbox, which meaningfully lowers its pressure.

SwordStatusKey changes
Dark BladeBuffedZ charges 10% faster, end-lag down 30%, range and hitbox up 10%.
DragonheartNerfedZ Instinct drain cut 50% on the initial hits.
Pole V2BuffedZ hitbox up 35%; X end-lag cut to 0.15s with 20% more range and hitbox.

Gun changes

Ranged play gets steadier this patch. Venom Bow’s X now lands a 1-second stun even when the target Instinct-dodges, and Kabucha trades its knockup for a cleaner 0.5-second stun.

KabuchaBuffedZ applies a 0.5s stun instead of a knockup; X end-lag cut to 0.2s.
Skull GuitarNerfedMovement bug abuse mitigated; X hitbox down 15%.
Venom BowBuffedZ range up 15%; X applies a 1s stun even when Instinct-dodged.

Race changes

Race abilities were tuned to keep their identities while trimming their PvP power. Ghoul v4 loses lifesteal at both gears, and its crows now drain Instinct instead of breaking it instantly.

RaceStatusKey changes
Ghoul v4Nerfed1 Gear lifesteal down to 20%, 2 Gear down to 30%; crows drain Instinct instead of breaking it; crow damage down 10%.
Shark v4AdjustedV3 cooldown up 15%, duration up to 5s; V4 shield now scales up to 60% of max HP, and enemies hit by the whirlpool deal 20% less damage.

Core combat systems and exploit fixes

Beyond individual moves, several systems were reworked. Instinct dodges now recover 25% faster, and two well-known movement exploits were shut down for cleaner ranked fights.

SystemStatusKey changes
Gun M1sBuffedAll Gun M1 attacks now have Aim Assist.
InstinctBuffedDodge regeneration down from 40s to 30s, restoring dodges 25% faster.
Tab Boost Movement exploitFixedPatched for Dragon Talon, Diamond, Electric Claw, and Sanguine, which let players travel far beyond intended range.
Flash Step instant combo exploitFixedPatched so players can no longer instantly combo moves after using Flash Step.

With so much moving at once, the safest read is to test your usual loadout against the new numbers before committing to it in ranked. The Fruits with fresh mechanics, like Ghost’s mirrored sword abilities and Tiger’s Blazing Form heal, are the ones most worth experimenting with right now, while anything on the nerf list is best re-evaluated before you build around it.
