Catch 1 Billion Ducks is a Roblox hunting experience built around a simple loop. You shoot ducks during the day, let your dog fetch them, freeze them, and sell them for Cash. Defeating a boss duck ends the day and hands you Feathers, which unlock new weapons and dogs back in the lobby.
Quick answer: Shoot ducks, let your dog carry them to you, store them in the Freezer, then open the Freezer to sell ducks for Cash and buy weapon upgrades. Spend Feathers in the lobby on a faster dog and higher fire-rate weapons before you worry about damage.

The day-and-night gameplay loop
Play is split into in-game days. During the day, you aim your weapon and shoot ducks out of the sky. Each downed duck falls to the ground or into the water, and your dog swims out to retrieve it. You then carry the duck to the Freezer and store it.
Some ducks turn aggressive and fly at you, chipping away at your HP with every hit. You start with 100 HP, so shoot attacking ducks quickly to avoid draining your health before the boss shows up.
When night falls, a boss duck with a large HP pool appears. These bosses hit hard and throw out attacks such as flurries of feathers, so you need enough damage to bring them down and enough movement to dodge. Beating the boss ends the day, and the amount of Feathers you earn depends on how well you hunted.
Tip: You can vote to skip the day by pressing the V key. Once the vote succeeds, the boss fight begins early.

Selling ducks and spending Cash on upgrades
Cash comes from selling the ducks you have stored. Between fights, walk up to the Freezer and interact with it to open the menu. From there you can sell ducks and buy weapon upgrades in the same window.

Weapons and Feathers: fire rate before damage
Feathers are earned by clearing days and are spent back in the lobby to unlock new weapons. Each weapon has its own stat line, and not every stat matters equally when you are starting out.
Damage only starts to pull its weight after you have played through several in-game days. As a newcomer, prioritize fire rate so you can knock more ducks out of the sky per second. Once you have a healthy Feather balance, shift your focus toward damage for the tougher bosses.
Why your dog matters as much as your gun
Shooting a duck does not reward you on its own. Your dog has to bring it back before it counts, so a slow dog means kills wasted across the map. That makes your fetching companion just as important as your weapon.
Several dogs are available in the lobby, each with a different stat spread that controls how fast it fetches ducks from the pond. A faster dog keeps up with your shooting and turns more downed ducks into stored ones. Try to unlock a solid dog before you start a map so retrieval never becomes the bottleneck.

Playing with others
You can team up with as many as three other players. More hunters means ducks go down faster, but it also means aggressive ducks appear more often and bosses hit with more HP. Even so, splitting the work across several players makes the whole experience far more manageable, which is why co-op is the strongest way to play.
Priority order for a smooth start
| Resource | Earned by | Spend it on first |
|---|---|---|
| Cash | Selling stored ducks at the Freezer | Weapon upgrades every chance you get |
| Feathers | Clearing a day by beating the boss | A faster dog, then fire-rate weapons |
Catch 1 Billion Ducks is free to play and does not lock progress behind premium purchases. The game rewards endurance more than anything, so keep the loop tight. Shoot cleanly, let a fast dog do the fetching, sell often, and stack upgrades until each boss falls a little quicker than the last.
