Palworld 1.0: How to Breed a Six-Skill Felbat with Legend

Use the Special Cake and a five-generation chain to pass down six breeding-exclusive attacks plus the Legend passive.

Use the Special Cake and a five-generation chain to pass down six breeding-exclusive attacks plus the Legend passive.

Felbat is a Dark-type Pal that becomes a top-tier combat unit once you stack it with six active skills and the Legend passive. The trick is the Special Cake, which lets an egg inherit multiple breeding-exclusive moves from its parents. With the right multi-generation chain, you can build a Felbat capable of soloing ultra raids and hard-mode tower bosses.

Quick answer: Breed Eidrolon + Frostallion into an Ophydia, cross that with Tanzee for Felbat 1, then combine two more Felbat lines seeded with Poison Fog, Radiant Barrage, Thunder Rail, and Wind Edge. Fold everything together over two final crosses to land a Felbat carrying all six attacks and Legend. Keep a Special Cake in the Breeding Farm chest for every egg.

The finished Felbat: skills and stats

The goal is a Felbat holding six active skills at once, alongside Legend. At level 80 with full optimization, the target values look like this.

AttributeValue
Level80
HP11,355
Attack3,284
Defense1,118
Work Speed98
Active skillsThunder Rail, Poison Fog, Comet Barrage, Double Blizzard Spike, Meteorain, Radiant Barrage
Passive skillsDiamond Body, Legend, Immortality, Serenity

Legend comes through breeding. Diamond Body, Immortality, and Serenity are added afterward at the surgery table, which is covered further down.

What you need before breeding

This chain only works on Palworld version 1.0 or higher, because the Special Cake is what allows an egg to inherit several exclusive active skills at once. Stock several of them, since every egg consumes one from the chest.

You also need the starting Pals ready with the correct active skills learned before you pair them. Teach each parent its listed move first, otherwise there is nothing for the offspring to inherit.

Parent PalSkill it must carry
EidrolonComet Barrage, Meteorain
FrostallionDouble Blizzard Spike, Legend
CinnamothPoison Fog
CelesdirRadiant Barrage
Warsect TerraThunder Rail, Wind Edge
Gobfin(no skill needed)
Tanzee(no skill needed)

Note: Gobfin and Tanzee act as the Felbat “bridge” species in this chain. They pass the family down to Felbat without adding attacks of their own.

The full breeding chain

Run every pairing at the Ancient Hatchery with a Special Cake in the feed chest. The chain builds three separate Felbat lines and then merges them across two final crosses.

Breed Eidrolon (carrying Comet Barrage and Meteorain) with Frostallion (carrying Double Blizzard Spike and Legend). The egg produces an Ophydia that inherits Comet Barrage, Meteorain, Double Blizzard Spike, and Legend.

Pair that Ophydia with Tanzee. The result is Felbat 1, holding the same four traits carried over from Ophydia.
Breed Cinnamoth (Poison Fog) with Celesdir (Radiant Barrage). This gives you Felbat 2, seeded with Poison Fog and Radiant Barrage.

Breed Warsect Terra (Thunder Rail and Wind Edge) with Gobfin. This produces Felbat 3, carrying Thunder Rail and Wind Edge.
Cross Felbat 2 and Felbat 3 to combine their moves into Felbat 4. During skill selection you choose which attack to keep, deciding between Wind Edge and Radiant Barrage. Keep Radiant Barrage so all six target moves survive.
Cross Felbat 4 with Felbat 1. This last pairing merges every line, producing the final Felbat with all six active skills and the Legend passive.

Choosing which skills to pass down

Each hatched Felbat can hold more moves than you want to forward, so the skill selection screen matters at every merge. When you review the intermediate Felbats, lock in the exact six attacks you are aiming for and drop anything extra. The decisive choice is at Step 5, where keeping Radiant Barrage over Wind Edge preserves the full six-skill loadout.

Because inheritance is partly random even with the Special Cake, expect to hatch more than one egg per stage. Keep breeding until an egg comes out with the exact skill set the next cross needs.

Post-breeding optimization

Breeding gives you the six attacks and Legend. The rest of the build is finished after hatching.

  • Use the surgery table to add the custom passives Immortality, Diamond Body, and Serenity on top of Legend.
  • Feed stat fruits to raise HP, Attack, and Defense toward their caps.
  • Max out trust with Kinship Peaches to push stats higher.
  • Condense the Pal using the double egg cake to boost its rank.

How to confirm it worked

Open the final Felbat’s status screen and check the active skill list. All six moves — Thunder Rail, Poison Fog, Comet Barrage, Double Blizzard Spike, Meteorain, and Radiant Barrage — should appear together, with Legend showing in the passive slots. If a move is missing or Wind Edge slipped in during Step 5, go back one cross and re-hatch until the skill selection lands correctly.

Once the loadout is complete and the surgery-table passives, fruits, peaches, and condensing are done, you have a Felbat built to clear the game’s toughest fights.
