Craft this ranged fishing weapon inside the Ancient Archives with three materials and no merchant purchase.

Craft this ranged fishing weapon inside the Ancient Archives with three materials and no merchant purchase.

The Titanic Scalder is one of the harpoon guns tied to the Deep update in Fisch, and it is the only way to add this particular weapon to your Equipment Bag. No merchant sells it. You build it yourself at a dedicated crafting bench hidden below Ancient Isle.

Quick answer: Take the Harpoon Gun Crafting table inside the Ancient Archives and spend 1 Heat Proof Metal, 1 Thermal Harpoon, and 25 Salvage Scrap to forge the Titanic Scalder.

Crafting materials for the Titanic Scalder

The recipe calls for three items, and each slot on the crafting table shows a required count. You cannot start the craft until every material is filled.

The item card describes the weapon as “Forged with the melting force of Thermal Rocks,” which lines up with the heat-themed parts you need to gather.

How to reach the Harpoon Gun Crafting table

The bench sits inside the Ancient Archives, a chamber reached through a waterfall cave on Ancient Isle. The fastest route starts from the main village dock.

Spawn a boat at Moosewood Village and sail toward Ancient Isle. Keep the island marker in view and head straight for it.

Land at Ancient Isle and find the waterfall. Enter the cave behind it and descend down into the Ancient Archives.
Walk up to the Harpoon Gun Crafting table. Opening it displays the Titanic Scalder recipe alongside the other Ancient Archives options like the Cusk-Shot and Relic Piercer.
Load in your Heat Proof Metal, Thermal Harpoon, and 25 Salvage Scrap, then confirm the craft to receive the weapon.

Titanic Scalder stats

Once forged, the Titanic Scalder carries these values, which shape how it performs in the pull minigame used to reel in roaming fish.

StatValue
Power9
Velocity32
Resilience40
Accuracy20

Higher Resilience slows the pull buttons during the minigame, while Accuracy makes those buttons larger. Velocity affects how long each pull prompt stays active before it expires.

Confirming the craft worked

After you confirm at the table, the Titanic Scalder lands in your Equipment Bag under the harpoon gun category. Equip it and fire at a roamer with left click to trigger the pull minigame, which confirms the weapon is functioning. If the craft button stays greyed out, one of the three material slots is still short, most often the 25 Salvage Scrap requirement.

The Titanic Scalder arrived with Version 1.96, the Deep update, so make sure your game is on that version before hunting for the bench. With the materials in hand, the whole craft takes only a short boat trip and a quick trip down the waterfall cave.
