Blox Fruits: Best Devil Fruits Ranked (August 2026 Tier List)

Every devil fruit sorted into tiers after the Summer PvP Update, with the picks that carry grinding, PvP, and travel.

Every devil fruit sorted into tiers after the Summer PvP Update, with the picks that carry grinding, PvP, and travel.

Picking a devil fruit shapes almost everything you do in Blox Fruits, from how fast you level to whether you win fights on the sea. The Summer PvP Update reshuffled the balance with more than 100 changes, buffing several fruits into the top spots while pulling Kitsune and Lightning down a notch. The ranking below reflects that patch and weighs each fruit’s grinding speed, PvP output, mobility, and overall value.

Quick answer: Light, Buddha, both Dragon variants, Dough, Gas, Tiger, Werewolf, and Yeti sit in the top tier right now. If you just want one strong, accessible pick, grab Light for grinding and travel or Buddha for the fastest leveling.

Full devil fruit tier list

Each fruit lands in one of five tiers, from S (best all-around) down to D (early-game only). This snapshot reflects the current Summer PvP Update meta as of August 2026.

TierDevil Fruits
SLight, Buddha, Dragon (Eastern), Dragon (Western), Dough, Gas, Tiger, Werewolf, Yeti
AKitsune, Lightning, Control, T-Rex, Spirit, Venom, Mammoth, Blizzard, Portal, Dark, Ice, Quake
BFiend, Ghost, Phoenix, Sand, Spider, Flame, Diamond, Shadow, Creation, Eagle, Magma, Sound
CLove, Rubber, Pain, Gravity, Bomb, Smoke, Spike, Blade
DRocket, Spin, Spring

How this was ranked: each fruit is scored on grinding efficiency, PvP potential, mobility, and its price-to-value ratio, with the Summer PvP Update’s buffs and nerfs factored in.

Why the S-tier fruits lead the meta

The top tier covers fruits that either carry a single role exceptionally well or do several jobs at once. The latest patch pushed a handful of them up by improving damage, hitboxes, and combat reliability.

FruitWhat makes it S-tier
LightFast attacks and top-tier mobility make it one of the best grinding fruits.
BuddhaHuge attack range and damage reduction make it the go-to leveling pick.
Dragon (Eastern)Heavy damage paired with strong durability and powerful moves.
Dragon (Western)Same high damage and combat kit as Eastern, just a touch slower.
DoughStrong mobility and combos, with awakened moves getting bigger hitboxes and more stun.
GasReliable sustained damage and improved transformed attacks after recent buffs.
TigerHigh damage, good mobility, and strong transformed attacks for PvP.
WerewolfTransformed combat with lifesteal, better movement, and higher damage.
YetiBig damage and strong transformed abilities, plus a 10% damage bump from the update.

If you only care about clearing mobs quickly, Buddha and Light remain the safest investments. Tiger, the Dragon variants, and Werewolf are the ones to lean on when you plan to fight other players.

A-tier fruits and the Kitsune and Lightning nerfs

A-tier fruits still compete with the best in the right hands. Most have complete combat kits but fall just short on damage, mobility, or ease of use. Two big names dropped into this group after the patch.

Kitsune is still fast and powerful, but its recent nerfs trimmed the PvP dominance it used to hold. Lightning keeps strong ranged pressure and crowd control, though its V move had its hitbox reduced. Control also took a hit, with several moves gaining longer cooldowns and smaller hitboxes.

On the flip side, several awakened fruits improved enough to sit comfortably here. Awakened Dark got faster, cleaner hitboxes and Instinct-breaking ability. Awakened Ice picked up stronger hitboxes, quicker attacks, an Instinct break, and an airborne V move. Quake’s awakened damage and reduced end-lag make it far more threatening in fights.

FruitRole
KitsuneMobile and strong, but softened by nerfs.
LightningRanged damage and crowd control with a smaller V hitbox.
ControlVersatile battlefield control, now with longer cooldowns.
T-RexHigh damage and durability for aggressive players.
SpiritDamage, mobility, and utility, but needs high mastery.
VenomStrong sustained damage that shines in long fights.
MammothPowerful transformed attacks plus a 10% damage increase.
BlizzardSolid crowd control and steady damage for PvP and PvE.
PortalBest-in-class travel thanks to World Warp.
DarkAwakened buffs to hitboxes, speed, end-lag, and Instinct breaking.
IceAwakened upgrades including an airborne V and Instinct break.
QuakeBigger awakened damage and lower end-lag.

B-tier fruits worth using

These fruits perform well but lack the consistency of higher tiers. Several picked up useful buffs in the Summer PvP Update, which raised their value.

  • Fiend: Faster attacks, bigger hitboxes, lower end-lag, and a 17% damage increase.
  • Ghost: Quicker attacks and summoned ghosts that copy swords add combat utility.
  • Phoenix: Awakened form gained higher damage, larger hitboxes, and lower energy costs.
  • Sand: Awakened moves now cast faster with better hitboxes and stronger enemy pull.
  • Spider: A large awakened hitbox and damage boosts make it a stronger PvP option.
  • Flame: Awakened attacks travel and cast faster with lower cooldowns.
  • Diamond: Good defense and a new stun on C, though overall damage dropped.
  • Shadow: Strong stealth and mobility, but less reliable damage.
  • Creation: Strong defensive utility without much offensive punch.
  • Eagle: Good aerial mobility and improved attack speed.
  • Magma: High damage for PvE, held back by limited mobility.
  • Sound: Useful buffs and raid value, especially in a group.

C and D tiers: situational and early-game picks

C-tier fruits still fit specific builds or casual play, but their limits show against stronger opponents. D-tier fruits are mostly stepping stones while you save for something better.

RubberCAbsorbs some attacks but lacks damage and utility.

SpikeCSimple, low-versatility moveset.
BladeCUseful against sword users, thin on offense.
RocketDVery low damage and utility.
SpinDMinimal damage or combat value.
SpringDUseful movement, little offense or defense.

Fruit types and how to obtain them

There are 40 usable devil fruits, split across three types. Beast (Zoan) fruits transform you and tend to offer the best combat and grinding value, though they are the hardest to find. Elemental (Logia) fruits give elemental powers and are easier to obtain, with generally lower trade value. Natural (Paramecia) fruits are the most common and span the full range from S-tier to D-tier, with Spirit, Venom, and Shadow among the strongest of the group.

A random fruit spawns somewhere on the map every hour and is free to claim once you reach it. You can also trade fruits with other players at any time, so a fruit you don’t need can still fund the one you want.

A few names have changed through recent reworks and replacements. Falcon became Eagle, Barrier became Creation, and Leopard was reworked into Tiger. Tiger is the most recent major addition, a Mythical Beast-type fruit built around fast attacks, mobility, and melee damage that also introduced the Werewolf mutation with its own moveset.

Note: treat these renamed fruits as their current versions when comparing picks, since the older names no longer exist in game.

If your goal is fast leveling, Buddha and Light give you the smoothest ride, while Tiger, Dragon, and Werewolf reward players who want to win duels. The meta shifts with every balance patch, so expect these placements to move again once the next update lands.
