Big Climb is one of the two side achievements in Big Walk that you have to chase on purpose, since it never triggers through the normal tower progression. It rewards you for standing on the true highest point of the island, a peak you can see from almost anywhere but cannot simply jump to. Reaching it depends on a transport system you unlock earlier in the game.
Quick answer: Complete the Green Tower to activate the chairlift, ride the chairlift heading west toward the peak, get off beneath the mountain marked with the highest-point icon, and follow the path up to the orange triangular structure at the summit. Big Climb unlocks the moment your character reaches that structure.
Where the highest point is in Big Walk
The highest point sits in the center of the island, at the spot between all five colored towers. It is marked with a triangular icon that you can view on the island map you unlock after finishing the Red Tower. Use that marker as your reference so you know exactly which peak you are aiming for.

Some players do manage to scale the mountain entirely on foot, but the reliable route is the chairlift. That means the achievement is gated behind one prerequisite before you can even start climbing.

Add to Google Preferences →Prerequisite: activate the chairlift at the Green Tower
The chairlifts are switched off when you begin the game. Completing the Green Tower puzzle and inserting its finished key into the chairlift is what turns the system on. Boarding a moving chair for the first time also unlocks the separate Big Sit achievement, so most players clear this step naturally before attempting Big Climb.
Note: Do not confuse Big Sit with Big Climb. Riding the chairlift only satisfies Big Sit. You still have to leave the chair and reach the summit on foot for Big Climb to register.
How to reach the summit for Big Climb

How to know Big Climb unlocked
Big Climb pops immediately once your character reaches the orange triangular structure at the summit. If you are playing in co-op, each person who wants the trophy has to physically stand at the highest point themselves. One player reaching the top does not grant it to the rest of the group, and standing on a nearby ledge while someone else makes the final climb may not count.
Why Big Climb might not trigger
| Situation | What to check |
|---|---|
| Chairlift is still off | Finish the Green Tower and insert its key into the chairlift first. |
| Only Big Sit unlocked | Leave the chair and keep climbing. The chairlift ride alone does not satisfy the highest-point trigger. |
| Standing near, not on, the peak | Reach the orange triangular structure itself, not a lower ledge below it. |
| Co-op partner reached the top | Every player who wants the trophy must stand at the summit personally. |
Because the summit sits away from the required tower route, it is easy to finish most of the game without ever triggering Big Climb. It is worth attempting after you have activated some of the island’s transport, so regrouping after a fall is far less of a chore. Reach the orange marker at the top and the achievement is yours.
