The Division 2 Y8S2 Into The Dark: How to Complete the Week 9 Manhunt HVT (Scout 9)

The Week 9 Manhunt HVT is the closing step of the Into the Dark seasonal hunt in The Division 2, and it went live on August 11, 2026. Finishing all three challenges plays a voice recording from Eloise Paxton and Manny Ortega that names Zodiac as the season’s Manhunt Target, then unlocks the Zodiac Climax Mission. Clearing that Climax opens a new Master Mission and an exclusive exotic weapon.

Quick answer: Capture three Control Points in Downtown East, eliminate 25 Hyenas in the open world, then activate and defeat the Muzzle bounty in Downtown East to complete Scout 9 and unlock the Zodiac Climax Mission.

The three Week 9 Scout objectives

Scout 9 gives you three tasks to work through. You can knock them out at any world difficulty. The reference below shows each objective and where it takes place.

Capture three Control Points in Downtown East

The first task asks you to take over three Control Points in the Downtown East District. There are four such Points of Interest in the area, so you have some choice over which ones to clear.

Travel to a Control Point and clear the first wave of enemies defending it. This opens up the next phase of the capture.

When the prompt appears on your Agent, use the flare gun in the open to signal your allies. An elite boss will then spawn, and taking down this wave begins the defensive round.

Defend the captured Control Point against several enemy waves arriving from nearby spawn points. Eliminate all of them to lock in the Point as yours.

Repeat the same sequence at two more Control Points to reach the 3/3 count and finish the objective.

Eliminate 25 Hyenas in the open world

The second task tracks 25 Hyena kills across the open-world map. Look for the Hyena clan symbol on the map to find activities tied to them, then fight through the waves. If you play solo, this counter fills more easily. In a squad, focus on tagging kills early so the 25 register quickly.

Tip: Hyena-held Control Points and open-world events overlap with the first objective, so clearing them together helps you build toward both counts at once.

Defeat the Muzzle bounty

The final task is a bounty against a boss called Muzzle in the Downtown East District. Open the map menu and go to the Bounties tab to find the target, its name, and its location.

Select the Muzzle bounty from the Bounties tab and activate it. You can matchmake here if you want extra agents for the fight.

Travel to the marked location and follow the objective marker as it guides you inside the building. Push through the multiple waves of enemies along the way.

Muzzle appears after the waves are cleared. Take him down to complete the bounty and the final Scout 9 objective.

How you know Scout 9 is complete

Once all three objectives register, a voice recording between Eloise Paxton and Manny Ortega plays. That recording confirms Zodiac as the seasonal Manhunt Target and marks the end of the Scout track for Into the Dark. Completing this step also unlocks the Zodiac Climax Mission, which leads into a new Master Mission and the season’s exclusive exotic weapon.
