War Robots has swapped its usual warzones for a vacation mood with the Sun, Sea, Steel event, the headline feature of Update 12.3 from MY.GAMES and Pixonic. The beach theme is mostly set dressing, though, because the update itself is a heavy content drop built around stealth, close-range brawling, and a batch of new gear you can start using immediately.
Quick answer: Update 12.3 is live as of August 11, 2026. Open War Robots, install the latest update, and the Sun, Sea, Steel event, the Fang robot, the Sirocco Titan, the Harmattan shotguns, the Barq energy guns, the Scourveil drone, and Ultimate Raven and Ultimate Atomizer will all be available.
Fang: The new quadruped ambusher
Fang is the new four-legged robot and it is built entirely around stealth raids. Its Sandcloak ability lets it dash quickly while hidden, closing the gap on enemies before they can react. The payoff comes the moment stealth ends, whether it runs out on its own or you cancel it, when Fang releases a wide frontal cone attack.
That cone hits everything directly ahead and applies two status effects at once, EMP and Rust. EMP shuts down enemy movement and abilities, while Rust cripples repair. Together they make Fang a strong opener that softens a target before your team piles in.
Note: Fang carries four medium weapon slots, and the new Harmattan shotguns are designed to fill them.
Harmattan shotguns and the Scourveil drone
The Harmattan family is a set of kinetic short-range shotguns that fire in rapid bursts. Their twist is percentage damage layered on top of a flat base value, and that percentage scales with the target’s maximum durability. In practice, the tankier an enemy robot is, the harder these guns hit it, which makes them dedicated tank-busters.
| Harmattan variant | Slot size |
|---|---|
| Harmattan – L | Light |
| Harmattan – M | Medium |
| Harmattan – H | Heavy |
Backing up that loadout is the Scourveil tactical drone, a companion tuned for stealth builds. It passively raises movement speed, repairs the host robot while it is in stealth, and extends how long your EMP and Rust effects last. It also carries a scaled-down version of the Harmattan shotgun, so it adds its own firepower on top.
Sirocco Titan and Barq energy guns
Sirocco is the new Titan, and it is an elusive brawler. Its Mirage ability turns it immaterial, sending incoming projectiles straight through it while stripping off any negative effects it is carrying. It cannot fire weapons in this ghost state, but it can summon a localized Magnetic Storm, a swirl of shredding metal that severely reduces enemy repair and can also trigger a brief EMP.
The dangerous part comes when Sirocco leaves that ghost form. For a short window after exiting, it gains complete immunity to Defense Mitigation, meaning its defense points stay fully effective no matter what fires at it. That window is your chance to press the attack with the new Barq shocker guns.
Barq Alpha and Barq Beta are cone-dispensing energy weapons that zap everything in front of the Titan and slow fast-moving targets. Their wide area makes them forgiving to aim, which suits Sirocco’s close-range fighting style.
Ultimate Raven and Ultimate Atomizer
Raven, the fan-favorite jumping robot, gets an Ultimate rebirth that fixes its long-standing weakness of being an easy target in mid-air. When it leaves cover and gets focused, a damage-triggered Stasis Barrier kicks in for temporary invincibility. Its thrusters are upgraded too, so you can actually steer while airborne instead of committing to a fixed arc.
Pairing with it is the Ultimate Atomizer, a set of energy machine guns with a boosted rate of fire. Like the original, it can still overheat, so sustained fire needs some management. Run four of them on Ultimate Raven for a high-mobility skirmisher that is hard to knock out of the sky.
Exclusive pilots in Update 12.3
Three exclusive pilots round out the update, each tied to one of the new machines and adding a specific bonus on top of its base kit.
| Pilot | Robot | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Nadir Rakhim | Fang | Adds Lockdown to Fang’s ambush |
| Renard Aurel | Sirocco | Boosts Sirocco’s damage, defense points, and EMP |
| Major Erika Storm | Ultimate Raven | Grants an extra jump charge |
How to jump into the event
War Robots is free to play and available across mobile and desktop. You can grab it on Android, as well as iOS, PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and the MY.GAMES launcher.
The theme is lighter than usual, but the mechanics underneath it are not. Between Fang’s EMP-and-Rust ambush, Sirocco’s phasing brawler kit, and a nearly unkillable Ultimate Raven, Sun, Sea, Steel gives long-time commanders plenty of new toys to test the moment they log in.
