Genshin Impact: Cyno’s Best Stellar-Conduct Build and Teams

Weapons, artifacts, stats, teams, and constellation priority for running Cyno as a Stellar-Conduct carry after his 6.7 buffs.

Weapons, artifacts, stats, teams, and constellation priority for running Cyno as a Stellar-Conduct carry after his 6.7 buffs.

Cyno changed roles with the Version 6.7 buffs that pushed him toward the Stellar-Conduct reaction. His attacks scale off both ATK and Elemental Mastery, so the best setup stacks Elemental Mastery while still feeding him ATK and crit, then pairs him with a character who can turn Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct. Below is exactly what to equip and who to bring.

Quick answer: Give Cyno the Staff of the Scarlet Sands and the 4-piece Disenchantment in Deep Shadow set, run Elemental Mastery on the Timepiece and Goblet with a Crit circlet, and place a Stellar-Conduct enabler like Odette (or Cryo Traveler for free-to-play) on the team.

Best weapons for Stellar-Conduct Cyno

The whole point of Cyno’s weapon choice is to solve his split scaling. He wants Elemental Mastery to amplify reactions, but he also needs ATK and crit to hit hard. The right Polearm lets you pour Elemental Mastery into the rest of his build without starving his damage.

WeaponBase ATK / SecondaryWhy it works
Staff of the Scarlet Sands542 ATK / 44.1% Crit RateConverts a large share of Elemental Mastery into bonus ATK, so you can stack Elemental Mastery freely and still hit hard. Also the highest crit value of any Polearm.
Primordial Jade Winged-Spear674 ATK / 22.1% Crit RateHigh base ATK, a crit substat, and stacking ATK% plus a 12% damage bonus at max stacks that Cyno reaches quickly in one rotation.
Song of the Vigil (F2P)565 ATK / 110 Elemental MasteryA solid free replacement. Triggering a reaction regenerates energy, and a Stellar Glimmer reaction raises ATK, smoothing out his rotations.

Staff of the Scarlet Sands is the clear best because it grants ATK based on Elemental Mastery on top of its huge crit rate. That double-dipping is what makes it his signature pick. If you don’t have it, the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear stays close behind, and Song of the Vigil covers the free-to-play slot well.

Best artifacts and stats

Disenchantment in Deep Shadow is the set that turns Cyno into a dedicated Stellar-Conduct enabler. Gilded Dreams still works for his older Aggravate playstyle, but for a Stellar-Conduct focus this set amplifies the reaction directly while feeding him ATK and crit.

Set bonusEffect
2-pieceATK +18%
4-pieceSuperconduct DMG +80% and Stellar-Conduct DMG +40%. Attacking targets affected by Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct raises that attack’s Crit Rate by 16%.

For main stats, lean into Elemental Mastery on the two flexible slots and finish with crit on the head.

SlotMain stat
TimepieceElemental Mastery
GobletElemental Mastery
CircletCrit Rate or Crit DMG

Prioritize substats in this order: Crit DMG, then Crit Rate, then Elemental Mastery, then ATK%. Keep enough Energy Recharge to reliably cast his Burst; his Stellar-Conduct teams need less than his older builds, but he still wants near-permanent uptime.

Best teams for Cyno

Cyno is an on-field main DPS who drives his team’s reactions while he holds the field. To reach Stellar-Conduct he needs a teammate who converts Superconduct into the reaction. Everything else is built around keeping that loop running and stacking buffs on top.

Cyno + Odette + Ineffa + Columbina

Odette enables and amplifies Stellar-Conduct, giving Cyno his core reaction partner. Ineffa and Columbina add Lunar-Charged reactions that surprisingly line up with Cyno’s kit, letting him trigger both Lunar-Charged (from that pair) and Stellar-Conduct (from Odette). It’s a more varied comp than a standard Electro lineup, and it delivers real damage. You can swap in buffers such as Beidou, Yae Miko, Alyosha, or Qiqi if you lack any of these units.

Cyno + Cryo MC + Alyosha + Diona (free-to-play)

Cryo Traveler replaces Odette as a free enabler, transforming Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct and buffing Cyno’s damage on the reaction. Alyosha adds off-field Electro application that helps Cyno trigger more Stellar-Conduct while dealing his own reaction damage. Diona rounds it out, and at C6 she amplifies Stellar-Conduct and grants Cyno 200 Elemental Mastery while he stands in her Burst field.

Constellation priority

If you’re chasing constellations, target them in this order: C1, then C6, then C2, then C4. C1 and C6 carry the most value, C2 is a strong follow-up, and C4 is more of a supportive stepping stone.

ConstellationEffect summaryValue
C1 – Ordinance: Unceasing VigilBoosts Normal Attack speed after his Burst, and when he enters Pactsworn Pathclearer he gains Together We Rise for +200 Elemental Mastery, which transfers to the incoming character on swap.Priority
C6 – Raiment: Just ScalesGrants stacks of Day of the Jackal that fire Duststalker Bolts on Normal Attack hits, upgraded to Duststalker Bolt – Starsame while under Together We Rise.Priority
C2 – Ceremony: Homecoming of SpiritsNormal Attacks add up to 50% Electro DMG Bonus, and characters under Together We Rise gain up to 16% Stellar-Conduct DMG.High
C4 – Austerity: Forbidding GuardRestores party energy when Cyno triggers listed reactions in his Burst state, and allies under Together We Rise regenerate energy for Cyno.Medium

Put it together and Cyno’s strongest setup is straightforward: Staff of the Scarlet Sands, 4-piece Disenchantment in Deep Shadow, double Elemental Mastery main stats, crit substats, and a Stellar-Conduct enabler locked into the team. From there, the flexibility comes from which buffers and reaction partners you own, whether that’s the Odette lineup or the free Cryo Traveler build.
