Lineage Piece has two Haki types you can unlock right now, and both matter for mid and late game combat. Observation Haki gives you 10 automatic dodges, while Armament Haki, called Bosu Haki in game, raises your damage by 25%. One is locked behind a long questline, the other behind a rare item drop.
Quick answer: Get Observation Haki by reaching Level 1500, completing the Deeproot Jungle Island questline, and paying 2.5M Yen. Get Armament (Bosu) Haki by farming the Haki Book from any mob or boss, then handing it plus 1,250 Gems to the Bosu Haki NPC on Frostborn Island.
Haki types, effects, and unlock costs
| Haki | Effect | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Observation Haki | Grants 10 dodges | Level 1500+, Observation Haki Book, 2.5M Yen |
| Armament Haki (Bosu Haki) | +25% damage boost | Haki Book, 1,250 Gems |
Conqueror’s Haki is not in Lineage Piece. Only Observation and Armament Haki exist at this time.

Observation Haki comes from a questline handed out by an NPC on Deeproot Jungle Island. You must be at least Level 1500 to start it, so this is a late game unlock.

| Torch | Location |
|---|---|
| Deeproot Jungle Island | On the trunk of a tree on the left side of the wooden bridge from the spawn point |
| Frostborn Island | Behind a street lamp near the Level 601 to 800 Quest NPC on a single tree |
| Legend’s Arena Island | On the outside of the rightmost pillar behind a tree near the Saber NPC |
| Fossil Island | On the trunk of the tree right beside the Muzan NPC near the Sung Jinwoo Boss area |
| Scorched Ruins Island | On the leftmost tree from the spawn point heading left |
How to unlock Armament (Bosu) Haki
Armament Haki has a much shorter unlock, but the required Haki Book is a rare drop, so the grind is the real hurdle.

How to reroll Armament Haki color
Armament Haki spawns with a random color. The color is purely cosmetic and does not change your stats, but you can swap it using Haki Color Rerolls.
- Drops from all mob NPCs and bosses
- Found in Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical Chests
Use a Haki Color Reroll straight from your inventory to change the color of your Armament Haki whenever you like.
If you are still early, prioritize the Haki Book grind for Armament Haki since its 25% damage boost speeds up every fight, including the World Bosses you will need for the Observation Haki questline. Once you cross Level 1500, the Deeproot Jungle Island quest becomes the next milestone toward your full set of dodges.
