Genshin Impact 7.0: How to Unlock Snezhnaya Daily Commissions

Daily commissions don’t switch on the moment you set foot in Snezhnaya. Unlike the way earlier regions hand them over, the frozen nation gates the whole system behind story progress, so you have to push through a chunk of the new Archon Quest before Katheryne will let you take them there.

Quick answer: Play the Archon Quest Everwinter Without Mercy until you reach Snezhnograd, then track the Another Horizon of Adventure World Quest and speak to Katheryne at the Adventurers’ Guild. Finishing that conversation unlocks Snezhnaya daily commissions automatically.

What you need before you start

The only real requirement is story access. Snezhnaya opens up through the Version 7.0 Archon Quest, which begins in Nod Krai and carries you into the new region. There’s no separate reputation grind or side objective to clear first. Reach the right point in the questline and the commission system falls into place on its own.

Note: The steps below move through major story beats, so expect spoilers for the opening of Snezhnaya’s main narrative.

Unlock Snezhnaya daily commissions

Begin the Archon Quest titled Everwinter Without Mercy. You kick it off by meeting Columbina in Nod Krai, and the quest eventually routes you down to the southernmost part of Snezhnaya.

Once you arrive, follow the narrative as it walks you through the basics of exploring Snezhnaya. Along the way you pick up the Eye of Graeae and run into Pierro. After that exchange, head for the next stop, Sretomorozsk.

Ride the train the rest of the way to Sretomorozsk. On arrival you meet Alyosha and receive him as a free 4-star character. Keep going with the quest to help him figure out why Kresnik Kristall has gone into shortage, then board a train with him toward Snezhnograd.

Shortly after the train departs, you land inside the Shadow Realm with Paimon and Alyosha, which starts the Gunfire in the Silent Lands quest. Complete this tutorial for the new third-person shooter mode to get back on the train, now roughly halfway to Rankova Zorya.

Disembark at Rankova Zorya to trigger the Great Deeds of the Tundra sub-quest under Everwinter Without Mercy. After the Eye of Graeae repairs the train, board it again and travel to the Central Station.

From the station, follow Alyosha to the elevator and ride it up to reach Snezhnograd. Unlock the region’s Statue of the Seven, then talk to Alyosha to start a cutscene where he points out the city’s key buildings, including the Adventurers’ Guild. You also receive the Another Horizon of Adventure World Quest at this moment.

Set Another Horizon of Adventure as your tracked quest and speak to Katheryne at the Adventurers’ Guild. Once the short dialogue wraps up, Snezhnaya’s daily commissions unlock on their own.

How to confirm the commissions are active

You’ll know it worked as soon as the conversation with Katheryne ends. The daily commission system for Snezhnaya switches on immediately, without any extra prompt to accept.

There’s a second sign to watch for. Katheryne also installs the Prime Ice Communicator on your train. With that device, you can talk to her and claim your commission rewards from inside the train, so you don’t have to teleport back to Snezhnograd every time.

Common reasons the commissions won’t appear
