The White Birch Snowgrave Statue of the Seven sits in the far northeast of Snezhnaya, cut off from the rail network and buried under a killing blizzard. You cannot simply walk there from the map. Lighting the statue is what clears the fog over the White Birch Snowgrave sub-region and opens the road to the Pale Crown Palace.
Quick answer: Finish the Hesperides of Love and Hate and In the Dwelling of Life world quests to start On One Side a Palace, On the Other a Tomb, follow the Eye of Graeae north through the ice cave, melt the Prime Ice wall with a Basic Heat Source Prime Ice Construct, then interact with the Statue of the Seven at the end of the cave.
Why you can’t reach the statue directly
The northern edge of Snezhnaya is locked behind a permanent storm. Standing in the extreme cold for too long will wipe your entire party, so you cannot brute-force your way in on foot before the region is opened. The train route to the Pale Crown Palace is also broken, and it stays broken until the story reaches that point. That is why lighting the statue matters so much. It gives you a usable teleport waypoint and limits how much of the freezing effect you take on arrival.
The only intended way in runs through the Eye of Graeae quest chain. Following that entity is what lets you cross the storm safely and reach the statue at all.

The statue is gated behind a sequence of Snezhnaya world quests. Each one leads into the next, and the final chain is where you actually collect the Eye of Graeae fragments and walk to the statue.
| Order | Quest | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Hesperides of Love and Hate | Opening chain in the Pale Crown Palace storyline |
| 2 | In the Dwelling of Life | Continues the story and unlocks the next chain |
| 3 | On One Side a Palace, On the Other a Tomb | Leads you into White Birch Snowgrave and to the statue |
Note: The third chain begins with the To Gaze Upon the Dreaming Pale Crown quest. If you skip the optional exploration and dialogue, the earlier chains take roughly two hours of play before this final stretch opens.
Reaching and lighting the statue

How to confirm it worked
When you interact with the statue for the first time, it lights up the surrounding area and reveals the nearby teleport waypoints on your map. The fog over the White Birch Snowgrave sub-region lifts, exposing the Pilgrimage to the Sacred Gorge route and the Pale Crown Palace. Reaching the statue also automatically triggers the On One Side a Palace, On the Other a Tomb world quest chain if it was not already running, which then lets you explore the palace and its levels.
After the statue is active, you can level it up by exchanging Cryoculus collected across Snezhnaya. Upgrading its level returns rewards such as Shrine of Depths Keys, Primogems, and Acquaint Fate.
Common reasons you get stuck
- The prerequisite quests are not done. Without finishing Hesperides of Love and Hate and In the Dwelling of Life, the chain that leads to the statue never begins.
- The blizzard is at its peak. Wait for the Snezhnaya Adventure Journal icon to show clearer weather, or glide in from the Korolevskiy Theater side and drop past the ice arch.
- The Prime Ice wall is still up. You must melt it with a Basic Heat Source Prime Ice Construct and remove the construct before the path opens.
Stay on the quest and follow the Eye of Graeae rather than trying to force your way north, and the statue becomes a straightforward stop on the road to the Pale Crown Palace.
