Collect the right furniture from the Feebas event, arrange the habitat, and Milotic moves into town.

Milotic joins Pokémon Pokopia through the Marine Leisure Activities habitat, a beach-themed setup you assemble from furniture earned during the Fetching Scales for Feebas event. Get the three required pieces in place and the Water-type shows up ready to be added to your Pokédex.

Quick answer: Build the Marine Leisure Activities habitat using one Beach Volleyball Set, one Cooler, and one Swim Ring. All three are bought from Feebas with Prism Scales, and you need 30 Prism Scales total to purchase them.

Furniture required for the Marine Leisure Activities habitat

The habitat that attracts Milotic is called Marine Leisure Activities, and it can be placed in any area with a Common rarity rating. You only need three items to complete it, and each one comes from trading with Feebas.

Swim Ringx1Fetching Scales for Feebas event

Buying all three costs 30 Prism Scales in total. Once you own the furniture, the habitat can be built at any time. Missing the event window does not lock you out of Milotic permanently, but you must have collected the furniture while the event was live.

Earning Prism Scales from the Feebas event

Prism Scales are the event currency, and you gather them before trading with Feebas for the habitat furniture. The event runs on a yearly schedule from August 13 to August 28, so plan your collecting inside that window.

Rebuild at least one Pokémon Center in town. Feebas only appears in front of a finished Pokémon Center, so this has to be done before the encounter can happen.
Talk to Feebas at the rebuilt Pokémon Center. This conversation starts the Fetching Scales for Feebas activity and unlocks the ability to collect Prism Scales.
Collect Prism Scales while visiting Dream Islands. Keep gathering until you have at least 30, which covers the full cost of the three habitat items.
Return to any built Pokémon Center and trade your Prism Scales with Feebas for the Beach Volleyball Set, Cooler, and Swim Ring.

Note: The event is limited to town. It does not take place in Bubbly Basin or on Cloud Islands, so make your collecting runs in the main town area.

Placing the habitat and confirming Milotic arrives

With the three pieces of furniture in your inventory, set up the Marine Leisure Activities habitat wherever you want Milotic to live. Because its ideal conditions are humid, a spot near plenty of water suits it best.

You know the build worked when a completion banner appears confirming you have restored a marine leisure activities habitat. That banner is the signal that the space is registered in your Habitat Dex and ready to draw in Milotic.

Milotic specialty, likes, and ideal habitat

Once Milotic settles in, matching its preferences raises its Comfort Level. It carries two specialties and a clear list of likes that point to the kind of surroundings it enjoys.

The Hype specialty means Milotic starts dancing when it hears music, which lifts the mood of the area. The Water specialty lets it spray water across nearby fields and plants, which helps keep your surroundings watered.
