The Hallway ending is the first of the four major conclusions in Keep the Door Locked (Anomaly), and it is the one most players reach on an early full run. It rewards you for lasting all ten nights, but the payoff is grim. After the Front Desk manager hands over the exit key, your escape turns into a chase that ends with the Door Breaker monster cornering your character.
Quick answer: Survive to Night 10, click “Open Door” to take the key from the Front Desk manager, then leave your room and run down the red-carpet hallway, dodging left and right past every obstacle until the chase ends at the blocked wall.
Requirements before the Hallway ending can trigger
The Hallway ending only becomes available once you clear ten full nights in the hotel. That means surviving every anomaly event and following the rules the Front Desk manager reads out over the telephone. Correctly telling human visitors apart from anomalies, resetting the window threat, hiding from the Door Breaker when it attacks your room, and never sleeping alone all keep you alive long enough to reach the final night.
If you die on any earlier night, you do not get the key and the ending cannot start. There is no shortcut. The ten-night survival run is the entry condition.

Survive the Door Breaker chase

The only failure condition during this stretch is running into an obstacle. Keep your movement clean, and the chase carries you to its scripted finish.
What happens at the end and how to confirm it worked
At the end of the path, there is no exit. A wall blocks your way forward, which reveals that the promised escape route was never real. Your character turns to face the monster, the Door Breaker jumps you, and the screen fades to black.
You know the ending registered when the screen goes dark and the reward screen appears. The Hallway ending grants the Ending 1 badge and 15,000 Cash. The run ends completely at this point, so you cannot resume from a checkpoint after the fade.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Trigger night | Night 10 |
| Required action | Accept the key via “Open Door” |
| Monster | Door Breaker |
| Fail condition | Hitting an obstacle during the chase |
| Badge | Ending 1 |
| Cash reward | 15,000 |
Despite the reward, the Hallway ending is one of the bad conclusions to the Story mode, since it ends with your character being attacked rather than escaping. If you are chasing the game’s better outcomes, treat this as the baseline ending you clear on the way to the other three, including the Ritual ending, which follows a different set of choices.
