Genshin Impact: Every Shadow Wingdrop Location in Snezhnaya

Where each Shadow Realm rift sits, how to collect the floating drops, and what the Analyzer pays out.

Where each Shadow Realm rift sits, how to collect the floating drops, and what the Analyzer pays out.

Shadow Wingdrop is a Snezhnaya exploration material tied to the Shadow Realm, the purple miasma that appears in patches across the region in Genshin Impact version 7.0. You collect these floating purple objects to level up the Shadow Realm Analyzer aboard your train, which raises your Shadow Realm Combat Stamina and hands out account resources along the way.

Quick answer: Enter a Shadow Realm (the purple mist on your map), watch for bat icons on the minimap, and shoot the hanging or flying shadow creatures with your firearm to claim each Shadow Wingdrop. There are 58 in total spread across five regions plus a few quest-only areas.

Where Shadow Wingdrops are located

Most Shadow Wingdrops sit inside Shadow Realm rifts, which show up as purple mist you can drop into from the map. The drops are scattered across five Snezhnaya regions. Here is how they break down.

Volkodlak Tundra rift

The first Shadow Realm sits between Rankova Zorya and Snezhnograd. Watch the map for the purple miasma, then leave the train when you are near the marker and drop straight down. The rift entrance is at the bottom, next to the frozen riverbed.

Flamefeather Valley rifts

Flamefeather Valley holds three locations. For the first, teleport to the region’s Statue of Seven and head east to reach the Shadow Realm in the Ice Quarry. The second and third open up only after you finish a nearby side quest, which unlocks the path leading down to the rift entrance.

Fellfrost Peak rifts

Two Shadow Realms sit in Fellfrost Peak. Teleport to the Statue of Seven and go north to find the first one near the Relics of the Fallen Grace Domain. Then head southeast for the second, which is between the Tidesong Cavern and the town of Sretomorozsk.

Look to the small island northeast of Snezhnograd for another Shadow Realm. Take the Teleport Waypoint in Glupov and make your way across to the island to reach it.

White Birch Snowgrave rifts

The last Shadow Realms are in the White Birch Snowgrave region. You need to finish the local quest before the area opens, so this is the one place you cannot rush ahead of the story.

How to collect Shadow Wingdrops

Shadow Wingdrops look like small floating clusters of purple energy with bat wings. They resemble the regional Oculus collectibles, but you cannot walk up and grab them. You have to shoot them.

Step into a Shadow Realm. Bat icons appear on your minimap to mark the shadow creatures nearby.
Aim at the hanging or flying object and fire your weapon. The assault rifle or grenade launcher used in the shooter-style combat both work.

Each drop is a one-time pickup. Once collected, it stays collected even if you later lose the Shadow Realm encounter, and it will not respawn. Check the area map before you leave a rift so you can spot any marker you skipped.

Note: Shadow creatures also turn up outside the standard rifts. You can find them in A Town Shrouded by Wings and Pale Crown Palace during the quests In the Dwelling of Life and On One Side a Palace, On the Other a Tomb. Clearing only the five main rifts may not be enough to finish Shadow Realm Analysis.

How to use Shadow Wingdrops at the Shadow Realm Analyzer

Spend your Shadow Wingdrops at the Shadow Realm Analyzer inside your train. Summon the train with the Eye of Graeae near any track or station, then head to the engine car and interact with the machine. Each level you unlock raises your Shadow Realm Combat Stamina, which caps at 400, giving you more room to sprint, slide, and reposition during shooter encounters.

The Analyzer unlocks after you complete the Shadow Realm segment in Chapter 7, Act 1 of the Archon Quest, Everwinter Without Mercy. Until then, the device and its firearm mechanics are not available, so progress the Snezhnaya story before a full collection run.

Shadow Realm Analyzer levels and rewards

LevelWingdropsRewards
13+40 Combat Stamina, 30,000 Mora, 5 Hero’s Wit
26+40 Combat Stamina, 30,000 Mora, 5 Sanctifying Essence
310+40 Combat Stamina, 30,000 Mora, 1 Fragile Resin
415+40 Combat Stamina, 30,000 Mora, 1 Crown of Insight
521+40 Combat Stamina, 30,000 Mora, 1 Acquaint Fate

These wingdrop numbers are progression thresholds, not stacking costs, so reaching Level 5 does not mean spending every value added together. Across the first five levels you pull in a total of 150,000 Mora along with character EXP, Artifact EXP, a Fragile Resin, a Crown of Insight, and one standard wish. Additional levels beyond these are expected to arrive with later 7.x updates.

You will know a submission worked when the Analyzer’s level ticks up, your Shadow Realm Combat Stamina jumps by 40, and the listed rewards drop into your inventory. If you missed a drop earlier, head back to the matching Shadow Realm while the area is still open. Collected wingdrops stay gone, so anything still glowing on the map is a piece you have yet to grab.
