Palworld 1.0 Tricks: Free Water Base Loot and the Giant Pal Glitch

The invisibility looting method, the size-swap bug, decay-free building, and where the new 1.0 Pals hide.

Palworld 1.0 brought a wave of new Pals, but it also opened up a handful of exploits and hidden mechanics that change how you gather loot, build bases, and power up your team. The most useful ones are repeatable and cost nothing but a little timing.

Quick answer: Activate Leezpunk Ignis’s partner skill “Too Cool to be Seen” to turn invisible, open a water base’s main chest, fly out of render distance for about a minute, then return and loot every remaining chest while no guards spawn.

Loot water bases for free with Leezpunk Ignis invisibility

Enemy water bases hold high-value chests, and you can clear them without a single fight. The trick relies on Leezpunk Ignis’s partner skill, which hides both the Pal and the player from enemies for 20 seconds and comes with a large cooldown reduction. That window is enough to reach and open the main chest unseen.

Fly to an enemy water base, such as the one near Faybreak. Keep Leezpunk Ignis in your party so its partner skill is ready.

Trigger “Too Cool to be Seen” to become invisible. While hidden, walk past the guards and open the base’s main chest.
Fly away until the base leaves your render distance and stay out for roughly one minute. This resets the enemy spawns tied to the location.
Return to the base. Because the main chest is already open, the game does not respawn the guards, so you can walk in and empty every other chest at your own pace.

You know it worked when you land back at the base and find it empty of enemies. If guards are still present, you either returned too quickly or never fully left render distance.

Giant Pal glitch: make certain Pals oversized

A physics bug lets you inflate the size of some Pals. Pick the Pal up and throw it down, and it can reappear at a much larger scale than normal. It is a visual quirk rather than a stat change, but it is an easy one to reproduce with the Pals it affects.

Build without decay outside your base circle

Structures placed outside your base boundary normally break down over time. You can stop that entirely through custom world settings, which frees you to build large projects anywhere on the map.

Open your world settings and find the “Structure Deterioration Rate” option.
Set the value to 0.0. Structures built beyond the base circle will no longer decay, letting you keep sprawling builds and themed areas intact.

Tip: Pair this with the “Damage to Structure Multiplier” setting if you also want to protect builds from combat damage while experimenting.

Fix the accessory stat display bug

When you move a Pal to the Palbox and back, the stat bonuses from its accessories can stop showing in the interface. This is only a display error. The bonuses from items like the Lord of the Underworld’s Baton, Dogen Emblem, or Warsect Terra’s Belt are still applied.

To force the numbers to update, unequip the accessories and then re-equip them. The stat panel will refresh and show the correct values again.

Hidden Pal animations worth checking

Some Pals have small, easy-to-miss details built into their idle behavior. Dualith stands out at the Hot Spring. When it bathes, only the ghost part of the Pal enters the water while its stone golem armor is left resting on the side.

Cooling animations also vary between Pals. Bastigor plays a frustrated cooling animation, while a PIDF Guard cools off with a fan in a more comedic way.

Cut content still in the files

The game files hold weapons and items that never made it into the live release. The most notable is a Sniper Rifle, alongside a Radar Sphere and a set of Disposable Implants. The Sniper Rifle was most likely cut because of rendering problems on low-end devices and the balancing headache of long-range weapons.

The unreleased Disposable Implants found in the files include Lucky, Legend, Siren of the Void, Eternal Flame, Invader, Lunker, and Savior. None of these are obtainable through normal play.

New Pals in Palworld 1.0 and where to find them

The 1.0 update added 74 Paldeck entries, made up of 49 new Pals and 25 variants. One of them, Astralym Boss, cannot be captured. Many of the fresh catches cluster around the new Sunreach and World Tree regions, so those two areas are the fastest places to fill out your log.

DualithGround, GrassSouthern Astral Mountains, The World Tree
CarniboraGrassNo. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary
ShaolongDragon, WaterThe World Tree
Panthalus BossWaterSummoned via quest

Variants often appear in colder or nighttime spots. The Boreal Summit and The World Tree host several Cryst and Primo forms, while Needoll Noct only shows up in the Desiccated Dunes at night. If you are hunting a specific variant, match the elemental theme of its name to the biome and time of day.

Between the free water base runs, the decay-free building settings, and the accessory refresh fix, most of these tricks pay off immediately without touching your save’s difficulty. Keep Leezpunk Ignis and a strong World Tree Pal on hand, and you will have both the loot and the roster to make full use of them.
