Pokémon Pokopia: How to Complete the Fetching Scales for Feebas Event

Collect Prism Scales on Dream Islands, trade for seaside furniture, and build the two habitats that bring Feebas and Milotic to your town.

Collect Prism Scales on Dream Islands, trade for seaside furniture, and build the two habitats that bring Feebas and Milotic to your town.

Feebas has surfaced outside the Pokémon Centers of Pokopia, and it wants Prism Scales. Hand enough over and you unlock a set of summery, waterside furniture that you can arrange into habitats. Do it right and both Feebas and its evolution, Milotic, move into your town for good. The whole thing is free and does not need any downloadable content.

Quick answer: Talk to Feebas at a rebuilt Pokémon Center, gather Prism Scales from Dream Islands, then buy the event items. Build the Exciting Beach habitat (Sand Bed + Big Swim Ring) to keep Feebas, and the Marine Leisure Activities habitat (Cooler + Swim Ring + Beach Volleyball Set) to attract Milotic. You need 50 Prism Scales total for both.

Event window and requirements

The Fetching Scales for Feebas event runs from August 13 at 5:00 a.m. to August 28 at 4:59 a.m. local time. It is available to anyone who owns the base game. The Bubbly Basin Expansion Pass is not required.

Before Feebas will appear, a few conditions must be met.

RequirementDetail
Software versionUpdate to Ver. 2.0.0
ProgressComplete a town’s important requests and rebuild its Pokémon Center
System clockSet to the real-world date and time inside the event window
ConnectionLaunch online the first time you play the event

If you finish the requirements while the event is already live, move to another town once or pick Save & Quit from the main menu, then reload so Feebas shows up. Feebas appears on the ground, not on Cloud Islands or in Bubbly Basin. For Link Play, use Palette Town, and speak to Feebas to receive the event details before starting multiplayer.

How to get Prism Scales

Speak to Feebas near any rebuilt Pokémon Center. It will ask for help collecting Prism Scales, which are the event’s only currency.
Examine a Pokémon Doll so Drifloon carries you to a Dream Island. The scales sit on the ground as flat, pink-and-blue, shell-shaped pieces, almost always along beaches and sandy stretches.

Sweep the sandy areas and pick up every scale you find. The Basin Dream Island, reached through the Starmie Doll from the Bubbly Basin DLC, holds an especially large number of them, so owners of the Expansion Pass can farm faster there.

You can only travel to one island per day, but you may return to that same island as many times as you like in a day. That gives you room to stockpile scales without the daily limit slowing you down.

All event items and Prism Scale costs

Take your scales to the Pokémon Center and find Feebas behind the register. Walk up to an item and press A to buy it. Six pieces of furniture are on offer.

ItemPrism Scale costNeeded for a habitat?
Beach Volleyball Set15Yes
Sand Bed10Yes
Swim Ring5Yes
Big Swim Ring10Yes
Floating Lantern10No
Cooler10Yes

The Floating Lantern is purely decorative. The other five items feed directly into the two habitats you build next.

Build the Exciting Beach habitat for Feebas

The Exciting Beach habitat is what convinces Feebas to settle in your town. Assemble it from two purchased items.

  • Sand Bed (10 Prism Scales)
  • Big Swim Ring (10 Prism Scales)

That comes to 20 Prism Scales. With the habitat placed, you can give Feebas a fitting seaside home that stays even after the event ends.

Build the Marine Leisure Activities habitat for Milotic

Milotic only turns up once you construct the Marine Leisure Activities habitat. It calls for three items.

  • Cooler (10 Prism Scales)
  • Swim Ring (5 Prism Scales)
  • Beach Volleyball Set (15 Prism Scales)

That is 30 Prism Scales for Milotic’s habitat. Combined with the 20 for Feebas, you need 50 Prism Scales to unlock both. You could buy only Milotic’s set, but building the Exciting Beach too means both Water-types get a themed spot to live in.

Confirming both Pokémon stay

Once a habitat is built, you can move the matching Pokémon in, and any Pokémon you befriend during the event remains in your town after it closes. Feebas settles through the Exciting Beach, while Milotic arrives once Marine Leisure Activities is in place.

Note: If you miss part of the window, you can rewind your system clock back to a date inside the event period, since the game authenticates the real date the first time you connect online. Aim to gather all 50 Prism Scales before August 28 so both habitats are ready while the shop is still stocked.
