The “Craft a DJ set to liven up your next celebration” duty in the Pop City Star Path asks for a DJ Booth Rig, but the game does not tell you which recipe actually counts. Three different DJ Booth furniture pieces satisfy this task, and each is expensive to build, so it helps to know your options before you spend gems and ingots.
Quick answer: Go to any crafting station, type “DJ” in the search bar, and craft one DJ Booth Rig, Stellar Blue DJ Booth, or Stellar Pink DJ Booth. Finishing the craft marks the duty complete and grants 30 Tokens.
Which DJ Booth items count for the Pop City duty
For this event, three furniture recipes are treated as a valid “DJ set.” Crafting any single one of them checks off the duty, so pick whichever you already have the most materials for. All three are unlockable recipes you can access once you have the required ingredients on hand.
| DJ Booth item | Materials required |
|---|---|
| DJ Booth Rig | 100 Iron Ingots, 6 Topaz, 6 Aquamarine, 6 Tourmaline |
| Stellar Blue DJ Booth | 100 Dry Wood, 50 Iron Ingots, 10 Blue Hydrangea |
| Stellar Pink DJ Booth | 100 Dry Wood, 50 Iron Ingots, 10 Pink Hydrangea |
Note: In earlier Star Paths, only the two Stellar booths counted for this task. In Pop City, the DJ Booth Rig also qualifies. To compare all three side by side, open the search bar at a crafting station and enter “DJ” so you can see the full material list for each.

Iron Ingots are the common thread across all three recipes, so most of your effort goes into mining. Each Iron Ingot is refined at a crafting station from 5 Iron Ore plus 1 Coal Ore. That means a Stellar booth needs 250 Iron Ore for its 50 ingots, while the DJ Booth Rig needs 500 Iron Ore for its 100 ingots.
| Material | Where to get it |
|---|---|
| Iron Ore | Mine rock nodes in Sunlit Plateau, Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, Frosted Heights, Vitalys Mine, and the Forgotten Lands |
| Coal Ore | Mine rock nodes in any biome |
| Dry Wood | Foraged in the Forgotten Lands, Frosted Heights, and Sunlit Plateau |
| Blue / Pink Hydrangea | Picked in Dazzle Beach |
| Tourmaline | Mined from rock faces in Sunlit Plateau and Frosted Heights |
| Topaz / Aquamarine | Mined from gem nodes across the Valley |
Tip: If you would rather not mine hundreds of ore, upgrade Kristoff’s Stall by finishing his “A Broken Sled” friendship quest. His expanded daily stock can include Iron Ingots and Dry Wood. When Iron Ingots appear, he sells 10 for 150 Star Coins each, and Dry Wood comes in batches of 20 at 25 Star Coins each. The stock is random, but over the run of the event it can cover most of what a booth needs.
How to craft the DJ Booth Rig

Confirm the duty completed
The duty is marked complete the moment the craft finishes, and you can immediately claim the 30 Tokens from the event menu. If the task still shows as incomplete, check that you crafted one of the three qualifying booths and not an unrelated item that simply has “DJ” in a different context.
Get your materials back after crafting
Because these booths are so costly and the payout is only 30 Tokens, you do not have to keep the furniture. Once the duty registers as complete, take the booth to Cheshire Cat’s Uncrafting Station and unmake it. This returns every material you used while leaving the duty checked off, so you keep the Tokens and recover your ingots and gems.
Completing this one still matters even at a low Token value, since you need to clear every duty to redeem all Pop City Star Path rewards. Once it is done, other duties such as hanging out with a glitchy villager or the Neon CD Demo Player photo task are worth tackling next to build up more Tokens.
