The Mysterious Stranger’s Task turns a normal pet walk into a scavenger hunt across Adoption Island. Added with the Tux & Shepherd on the Stray Case update on August 14, 2026, the Cafeteria Cutlery quest asks you to track down six Bundles of Forks that are hidden in plain sight, then hand them over to a grumpy stranger locked behind a door at the School.
Quick answer: Equip any pet, walk it around Adoption Island (not inside buildings), and press E on the disguised object your pet reacts to. Collect all six Bundles of Forks, then return to the Mysterious Stranger’s door at the School to receive 75 Bucks.

Add to Google Preferences →How to tell a Fork Bundle is nearby
Each Bundle of Forks is disguised as an ordinary object, so you will not see a fork lying on the ground. Instead, watch your pet. When you walk near a hidden bundle, your pet reacts. Its eyes fill with heart emojis and it points toward the object holding the forks.
Once your pet signals, look for the disguised item close by and press the E button to collect. A green “Collect” prompt appears when you are lined up correctly, and the bundle appears as blue forks wrapped in white paper and tied with a dark blue ribbon.

Tip: Vehicles work for covering ground faster, but stay outside buildings while you search. The bundles spawn out in the world, not indoors.
Common Fork Bundle spawn spots in Adopt Me
Spawn points are randomized for every player, so a bundle you found at one spot may sit somewhere else for a friend. Still, the forks tend to hide inside the same types of objects around the island. Check these areas first, then let your pet guide you to the rest.

| Area | Object to check |
|---|---|
| Across the red bridge from the Pet Shop | Wooden barrel near the tree opposite the bridge |
| In front of the main Nursery, opposite the Pet Shop | Broken wooden fence |
| Playground and mini nursery | Bush behind the mini nursery; small stone next to the bridge in front of the playground |
| Adoption Island center | First chair aboard the parked Fly Balloon |
| Beach Shop area | Wooden logs, sticks, and sand buckets around the campfire; crates and barrels near the beach |
| Park and outer circle | Barrels near the park, mini gardens (under flowers), mini Christmas trees, and stones near the main area |

When you reach the pink cottage near the playground, sweep the large grey rock beside it. This is a reliable spot for one of the later bundles.

If you want to work through the outer ring of the map, follow the Neighborhood entrance path marked by the orange house icon and white arrows, then check the barrels and stones along the way.

Reward and how often you can repeat the task
Delivering all six Bundles of Forks to the Mysterious Stranger pays out 75 Bucks. The task resets once every in-game day, not once per real-life day, so you can run it again after a short wait rather than waiting a full 24 hours.
The reward stays at 75 Bucks on repeat runs. There is no confirmed bonus for completing it many times.
How to confirm the task is complete
Each successful pickup updates the task board’s progress bar, counting up from 1/6 to 6/6. When you reach 6/6, the board’s description changes to prompt you to bring the forks to the Mysterious Stranger for your reward.
Return to the locked door at the School and knock again to hand everything over. The 75 Bucks land in your balance, and the quest closes until the next in-game day rolls over. If a bundle will not collect, make sure a pet is equipped and that you are outside all buildings, since those are the two conditions the search depends on.
