Anubis is a Mythical pet that arrived in Grow a Garden during the second part of the Harvest Moon Event, added on August 8, 2026. Unlike pets you hatch from eggs or pull from chests, this one is a progression reward. You unlock it by climbing the Season 7 Season Pass, so the whole task comes down to earning pass levels.
Quick answer: Reach Level 40 in the Season 7 Season Pass, then open the pass rewards menu and claim Anubis from the Level 40 tier.

There is only one way to add Anubis to your collection. You have to earn enough Season Pass experience to hit Level 40 in Season 7. Once that tier is reached, the pet becomes claimable directly from the pass. It never appears in the regular pet shop, and you cannot hatch it from any egg.
You know it worked when Anubis appears in your pet inventory and the Level 40 reward slot switches from claimable to claimed. If the CLAIM button is greyed out, you have not yet reached Level 40.
Rainbow Anubis and the Premium Pass
Buying the Premium Pass for 749 Robux gives you a Rainbow mutated version of Anubis on top of the standard pet. The unlock condition is the same. You still need to reach Level 40, but the Premium track upgrades the reward to the Rainbow variant. If you only play the free pass, you receive the normal Anubis.

What the Earth Emperor passive does
Anubis has a passive called Earth Emperor. Every so often it targets a heavily mutated fruit in your garden and destroys it. In exchange, another pet in your garden gains age based on how many mutations that fruit carried. There is also a small chance the age boost lands as a stronger gain.
The key catch is that Earth Emperor ignores favorited fruits. Marking a fruit as a favorite does not protect it from being sacrificed. If you hold onto rare or heavily mutated fruits for their look rather than their sell value, Anubis can wipe them out without warning.
Note: More mutations on the destroyed fruit means more potential age passed to the target pet, so the passive rewards you for building highly mutated crops before letting it trigger.
Is Anubis worth the grind?
For everyday farming, Anubis is a hard sell. Destroying valuable mutated fruit just to age another pet is a steep cost, especially for veteran players who collect rare fruits and want to keep their mutations intact. Reaching Level 40 also demands a lot of time, so it is not friendly to newcomers either.
Collectors get more out of it. If you want the pet for completion or to test its passive, keep it in a separate garden away from your main crops. That way you can experiment with Earth Emperor without risking the fruits you actually care about.
