Gear 5 is the final awakening of the Gum Fruit in Haze Seas, and it sits at the very end of a long progression chain. You can’t jump straight to it. The game forces you to clear Gear 2 and Gear 4 first, hit a high character level, and then repeatedly farm a boss for the one material that unlocks the form and its moves.
Quick answer: Unlock Gear 2 and Gear 4, reach Level 3,000 with the Gum Fruit equipped, then farm the Dragon Boss on Dragon Island for the Drums of Liberation. Hand one Drums of Liberation plus 500,000 coins and 100 gems to the Gear 5 trainer, Incurr, to awaken the form, and repeat the boss run to buy each of the six skills.

Gear 5 requirements in Haze Seas
Before the Gear 5 trainer will talk to you, your character has to meet every one of these milestones. Missing any single one blocks the awakening.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Fruit | Gum Fruit (Mythical), equipped |
| Prior awakenings | Gear 2 and Gear 4 fully unlocked |
| Character level | Level 3,000 |
| Coins | 500,000 |
| Gems | 100 |
| Key item | Drums of Liberation (from the Dragon Boss) |
Keep the Gum Fruit active when you fight the boss and when you turn in the quest. Swapping to a different fruit for the final step will stop the transformation from being granted.

The Drums of Liberation is a Mythical material and the single gate item for Gear 5. It drops from the Dragon Boss on Dragon Island, the skull-marked island inspired by Onigashima. With the Gum Fruit equipped, the drop is guaranteed, so every clean kill gives you one.

Note: You need six Drums of Liberation in total to fully finish Gear 5 — one for the transformation and one for each of the five extra skills.
Awaken Gear 5 with the trainer Incurr
Once a Drums of Liberation is in your inventory, the awakening happens through the Gear 5 trainer, an NPC named Incurr found on Dragon Island. He handles the turn-in that evolves your Gum Fruit.

Gear 5 moveset and keybinds
Gear 5 turns the Gum Fruit into the white-clad Sun God form, with a distinct laughing aura and heavy focus on wide-area damage and aerial movement. Here are the six skills you can unlock and the keys they map to.
| Key | Skill |
|---|---|
| Z | Kaminari Lightning |
| X | God Clap |
| C | Spiritual Dominance |
| V | Gomu Giant |
| B | Bajrang Gun |
| E | Cloud Fly |
Cloud Fly is the movement skill that lets you run across the sky, giving the form its standout mobility. The rest are damage tools, with Bajrang Gun as the heaviest hitting finisher.
Unlock Gear 2 and Gear 4 first
Gear 5 is locked behind the two earlier awakenings, so you have to finish both before Incurr will help. Both trainers and their materials sit on the Level 1900 island, often called Bubble Island.
Gear 2
Travel to Bubble Island and search the rocks under the elevated platform. One hides a secret entrance leading to the Gear 2 trainer, Yoka. To learn Gear 2 you need 300 Gum Fruit mastery and 100,000 coins. Interact with Yoka and accept the offer to unlock the transformation.

Gear 4
Gear 4 runs off a rare book dropped by the Gear 4 boss on Bubble Island. The book has a very low drop rate, around 0.5 percent, so expect repeated kills before your first one lands. Once you have a book, head to Sea 2 and interact with the Poneglyph, the large stone monument, to unlock Gear 4. Each of its moves needs another book, so a full Gear 4 kit takes several drops.

How to get the Gum Fruit
None of this works without the base Gum Fruit, which is Mythical rarity. There are two ways to obtain it. It can spawn under trees in the world, where it despawns after 20 minutes if left alone, or you can roll for it through the Cynthia Fruit Dealer NPC, which has roughly a 0.5 percent chance of giving a Mythical fruit per roll.
How to confirm Gear 5 unlocked
The turn-in with Incurr triggers a confirmation dialogue and a new title, and the Gear 5 form immediately becomes available on the Gum Fruit. If the option to awaken never appears, check the usual blockers first. You must be Level 3,000, have both Gear 2 and Gear 4 already unlocked, and have the Gum Fruit equipped when you speak to the trainer. If you have all six Drums of Liberation but only some skills are active, you haven’t turned in enough copies yet — each skill is a separate purchase.
From there it’s mostly a matter of patience. The Dragon Boss is the real wall, and every Gear 5 slot you fill sends you back for another Drums of Liberation until the Sun God form is complete.
