Sorting roughly 4,000 rubber ducks into themed shelves is the whole job in Sort Them Ducks, and 20 achievements ride on how thoroughly you do it. Most of them fall out of normal play. A handful — the full-shop sort, the slot machine sweep, and two run-based challenges — need planning before you start scooping ducks off the floor.
Quick answer: All but two achievements can be earned in one complete playthrough. No Time to Waddle (finish in under four hours) and I Don’t Do Buttons (finish without pressing an active ability) require separate runs, so plan on beating the game at least twice and wiping your save with the reset option on the main title menu.

Add to Google Preferences →Master Sorter: placing every duck in the shop
This is the achievement that stalls most players, and it gates the copy plinth achievements too. The shop holds 19 themed categories, each with 10 duck types and 20 copies of every type. Beyond those shelves sit the rainbow tower, five follower ducks, and Mr. Duck himself.
The rainbow tower is the usual sticking point, because each color needs a different count and the shelves fill from the bottom up.
| Tower color | Ducks needed |
|---|---|
| Purple | 50 |
| Dark blue | 40 |
| Light blue | 38 |
| Green | 36 |
| Yellow | 30 |
| Orange | 14 |
| Red | 1 (the giant duck on top) |
The odd ducks that don’t belong on a shelf
Mr. Duck — the yellow one in the top hat — goes on the office chair behind the desk. The five unique follower ducks go on the plinths beneath the Quack Hall of Fame sign in the office. The big red duck belongs on top of the finished tower of colored ducks.
Why the counter says you’re still missing ducks
Two things cause a stuck count. Ducks slip behind shelving units and become unreachable, and colored tower ducks get put on the wrong colored shelf. For the first, open the menu and use Shuffle Ducks, which respawns every unsorted duck back into reachable space. For the second, check the tower shelf by shelf — green ducks on green, blue on blue, and so on. An earlier bug that produced a mismatched tower count has since been patched.

You’ll know a category is finished before the achievement fires. Every duck on a completed shelf flashes briefly and plays a sound, which is also what triggers Category Complete the first time it happens.
Egg-cellent Timing: all 10 hidden egg locations
Ten eggs are tucked around the store and the office. Grab all of them and the game hatches a personalized duck for you along with the achievement.
| # | Location |
|---|---|
| 1 | Right side of the slot machine, in the corner by the Fruits shelf |
| 2 | On the chair behind the cash register at the front of the store |
| 3 | Wedged behind the right-hand door into the office |
| 4 | Beside the right corner of the Pirates shelf |
| 5 | Behind the monitor on the office desk |
| 6 | Inside the lamp on the unit holding the follower pedestals |
| 7 | Between the low unit and the shelving to the right of the office desk |
| 8 | On the right wing of the giant centurion duck near the Warriors shelf |
| 9 | Top left corner of the Cowboys shelf |
| 10 | Wedged between the Animals and Music shelves |
Upgrade, ability, and cash register achievements
Four achievements hang off the shop’s two machines and your ability bar. Maxed Out is simple bookkeeping — keep buying from the Quack Up machine until every line reads “Max.”
Jackpot! is the expensive one. Each pull of the Quack Pot slot machine costs $100, and you need every ability unlocked before you can use it the maximum number of times. Realistically, that means sorting the entire shop first so you have the cash to spin it out.
Efficiency Expert asks for 15 ducks in a single Collect Ducks use. Unlock that ability, upgrade your inventory to hold 16 ducks, then pick up a duck type you haven’t shelved any copies of yet — the ability ignores ducks that are already sorted, so partially placed types won’t hit the number. Duck Whisperer is pure repetition: trigger the find duck ability, the one that highlights ducks matching what you’re holding, 50 times.
Sticky Fingers is hidden in plain sight. Walk to the cash register at the far end of the store, opposite the office, and press it 10 times to pocket $10.
The three copy plinth achievements
Once every duck in the shop is correctly sorted, Mr. Duck opens up a copy plinth in his office. Three achievements run through it, and all three are locked behind Master Sorter.
Note: saving before your first mass-copy session is worth doing, since you can reload that save to run the next copy achievement in a clean room rather than wading through 2,000 duplicates.
The two dedicated runs: under four hours and no abilities
No Time to Waddle wants a completed game in under four hours. Buy Sprint, Collect Ducks, and inventory size before anything else, then fire Collect Ducks the moment its cooldown is up. Target duck types you have few of on the shelf, since the ability skips ducks that are already placed and you want the biggest possible haul per use.
I Don’t Do Buttons is the opposite discipline. Finish an entire run without pressing any active ability, which means sorting on foot and by eye from the first duck to the last. Start it from a fresh save using the reset option on the main title menu, and keep your hands off the ability keys for the whole run.
Work through a full completion run first — categories, tower, eggs, upgrades, then the copy plinth — and you’ll walk away with everything except those two. After that, the reset option turns the remaining pair into a pair of clean, focused attempts.
