Mortal Shell 2: Empty Cradle Beacon Dungeon Walkthrough

Everything you do inside the Temple of Finality to grab Ossinite and Thoracium and finish the cleanse.

Everything you do inside the Temple of Finality to grab Ossinite and Thoracium and finish the cleanse.

The Empty Cradle Beacon sits deep in The Unfound Path, and cleansing it means clearing a dark cave complex called the Temple of Finality. The run is a straight fight through spectral enemies, with two upgrade materials to collect along the way before you purify the corruption at the end.

Quick answer: Rest at the Empty Cradle Beacon and select “Cleanse Beacon,” fight through the Temple of Finality, then interact with the corrupted structure at the far end, choose “Cleanse Corruption,” and confirm “Return to Surface.” You will see the “Beacon Cleansed” message and collect your Ovas.

Start the Empty Cradle dungeon

Beacons in Mortal Shell 2 double as fast-travel points and save spots, restoring Health and Resolve while respawning nearby enemies. Most start corrupted, and you clear them by working through a short dungeon and claiming the Ova at the end.

Travel to the Empty Cradle Beacon and rest at it. Choose “Cleanse Beacon” to drop into the dungeon.
You spawn in a dark cave. Open the stone sarcophagus nearby for loot, then head forward into the Temple of Finality.

Fight through the Temple of Finality

The cave is linear but packed with spectral foes. Lean on melee combos and clone spells to control groups, and keep moving so you are never cornered by more than one heavy enemy at a time.

Clear the first stretch of spectral enemies and spider-like creatures. Use clone spells to split their attention while you land your combos.

A spectral giant appears further in. Dodge through its slow, heavy swings rather than trading blows, then push past it deeper into the cave.
Reach the watery section with a shallow stream. Deal with the floating head enemies and spectral clones here before moving on.
Loot the items on the ground, then squeeze through the narrow rock crevice to continue.

In the dark corridor ahead, a pack of spectral knights and clones ambushes you. Fight defensively and pick them off one by one.
At the altar area, take down the spectral giant, then use “Make Offering” at the bowl altar. Open the stone chest to claim Ossinite.

Keep searching for the exit path and slip through the next narrow rock gap.
Clear the spider nest with clone-assisted attacks so the spiders swarm your clone instead of you.
Use the red spectral dash to blow past the remaining enemies and reach the glowing totem.
Destroy the totem, kill the guardian it summons, and pick up Thoracium.

Pass through the white mist gateway and run past the last enemies to the end of the cave.

Loot inside the dungeon

ItemHow to get it
OssiniteMake an offering at the bowl altar, then open the stone chest in the altar area.
ThoraciumDestroy the glowing totem and defeat its guardian.

Both are upgrade materials, so grab them on the way through rather than rushing straight for the exit.

Cleanse the corruption and finish

Interact with the corrupted structure at the end of the cave and choose “Cleanse Corruption.”

Confirm “Return to Surface” when prompted. The screen displays “Beacon Cleansed” and sends you back up top, which is how you know the run counted.

Cleansing the Empty Cradle Beacon pays out the following:

RewardAmount
Glows+1456
Venenum+2
Purified Scripture+1
Carnis+1

Note: If the “Cleanse Corruption” prompt does not appear, you have not reached the corrupted structure at the very end of the dungeon yet. Clear the final mist gate and follow the cave to its terminus; then the interaction becomes available.

Once the beacon is clean, it works as a normal fast-travel and recovery point, and the Ova counts toward the collection when you return to Marrow Keep.
