The Bridge of Procession is one of the corrupted beacons in Mortal Shell 2, sitting in the game’s late-game stretch. Like every corrupted beacon, it starts out as little more than a rest point. To claim its reward and mark it as cleansed, you have to drop into its short dungeon, deal with the enemies waiting inside, and purge the corruption at the end.

Quick answer: Interact with the Bridge of Procession beacon and choose Cleanse Beacon. Open the sarcophagus in the first room to collect the Paradoxical Scripture, drop down into the Temple of Desolation and kill the skeletal spider enemies, then cleanse the corruption at the far end to finish and return to the surface.

How beacon cleansing works

Corrupted beacons only let you rest, update your respawn point, and restore Health and Resolve until you clear them. Cleansing a beacon means entering its dedicated mini dungeon, defeating the enemies (and sometimes a miniboss), then claiming the Ova or other reward at the end. Once that is done, the beacon unlocks its full menu, including leveling the Harbinger with Gloom and fast travel back to Marrow Keep.

Cleansing also clears the darkened overgrowth around the beacon, which frees up any loot or paths that the corruption was blocking. None of the beacons are missable, so if you skip the Bridge of Procession you can return for it later in free-roam.

Bridge of Procession dungeon walkthrough

Stand in front of the glowing Bridge of Procession beacon and interact with it. From the menu, select Cleanse Beacon instead of simply resting. The screen flashes white and drops you inside the dungeon.

You start in a dark, cavernous room with a sarcophagus in the center. Walk up to it and open it to receive +1 Paradoxical Scripture. Grab this before moving on so you do not have to backtrack.
Follow the path forward out of the starting room. This leads you into the area named the Temple of Desolation, where the fight takes place.
Drop down to the lower level. Several glowing, skeletal spider-like enemies are waiting here, and combat begins as soon as you land. Deal with them one at a time and use the room’s space to avoid being surrounded.
With every spider cleared, move to the end of the dungeon and interact with the corruption there to cleanse it. This completes the run and returns you to the surface with the beacon marked as cleansed.

You know the cleanse succeeded when the white transition returns you to the surface and the beacon no longer shows its corrupted state. From that point, the beacon offers its full set of options, including leveling up with Gloom, changing equipment, and returning to Marrow Keep. Cleansing beacons is also what feeds Ova back to the UnderMether, so clearing this one counts toward your overall total.

If the cleanse does not complete

The most common reason the beacon stays corrupted is leaving an enemy alive. The corruption at the end will not respond until the spiders in the Temple of Desolation are all dead, so sweep the lower level fully before heading for the exit point.

Note: Resting at the beacon is not the same as cleansing it. If you only pick rest, you update your respawn point but never enter the dungeon. Always choose Cleanse Beacon to trigger the run. If you die inside, you respawn at your last beacon and can re-enter to try again, with the enemies restored.
