Kuro Games took Wuthering Waves offline for the Version 3.6 update, and the servers are currently down. Nobody can log in until the patch is finished, which is standard for every major version rollout in the game.
Quick answer: Maintenance began on August 20, 2026 at 4:00 AM (UTC+8) and is scheduled to end the same day at 11:00 AM (UTC+8), a seven-hour window. Version 3.6 goes live the moment servers reopen.
Release time: August 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM (UTC+8)

Servers can come back before the 11:00 AM deadline
The seven-hour figure is a ceiling, not a promise. Past Wuthering Waves updates have opened roughly two hours ahead of schedule, meaning around 9:00 AM (UTC+8), so it is worth trying the launcher before the posted end time.
The window can also stretch the other way. If something goes wrong during the rollout, Kuro Games extends the downtime and posts a follow-up notice, usually with adjusted compensation attached.
You will know it worked when the login screen accepts your account and the client shows the Version 3.6 title art instead of a maintenance message. Until then, launching the game just throws you back to the same downtime notice.
Maintenance compensation: 300 Astrite and 2 Crystal Solvent
The standard payout for a version update is 300 Astrite and 2 Crystal Solvent, delivered through the in-game mailbox once servers are back. To qualify, you need a created character with the Mail feature unlocked before maintenance began.
Note: compensation mail expires. Claim it well before the next version’s maintenance starts, or it disappears from your inbox unread.
Preload and how to update on each platform
Preload for Version 3.6 opened on August 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). Steam players are the exception, as the preload option is not offered on that platform, so the full download starts after maintenance ends.
If you skipped preload, the patch downloads the usual way once servers reopen. The method depends on where you play.
| Platform | How to install the update |
|---|---|
| PC | Close the game, restart the launcher, then click Update. |
| Android | Open the game and follow the in-game update prompt. |
| iOS / Mac | Download the update from the App Store. |
| PS5 | Highlight Wuthering Waves on the home screen, press OPTIONS, and choose Check for Update. |
What unlocks the moment 3.6 goes live
Version 3.6, “Lamplight in Mirage, Sword’s Resolve in Heart,” starts immediately at the end of maintenance and runs through September 30, 2026. Phase 1 puts Qingxiao’s debut banner alongside a Denia rerun, running until September 10, with Jingran, Hiyuki, and Mornye taking over in Phase 2.
The patch also opens Chapter 4 Act 3, “Song of the Heart Sword,” and the Segue quest “The Nethermancer’s Requiem,” plus the new Ren Realm area above the Emerald Peaks. If you plan to pull on day one, log in first, collect the compensation mail, and count your Astrite before spending anything.
