Lineage Piece: All 5 Shun Shun Rikka’s Trace Locations in Hueco Mundo

The five Shun Shun Rikka’s Traces are the opening step of the Vasto Lorde questline in Lineage Piece, and all of them are hidden across a single Hueco Mundo island. They sit at different heights around the island’s pillars, rocks, and the central building, so the search is short once you know where to look.

Quick answer: Talk to the Inner Hueco Mundo NPC first to start the quest, then collect all five traces on the Hueco Mundo island using the [E] Collect prompt on each one. The pickups will not count if the quest is not active.

Before you start collecting traces

Two things must be in place before any trace registers. You need the Tensa Zangetsu weapon already unlocked, otherwise you cannot pick up the quest at all. Then you have to speak with the Inner Hueco Mundo NPC, who stands at the entrance of the main building that holds the portal to Inner Hueco Mundo.

Note: The quest block happens before collection. If you walk over a glowing trace without the active quest, the prompt will appear but the pickup will not count toward the total.

All 5 Shun Shun Rikka’s Trace locations

Every trace is on the same Hueco Mundo island. Use this table as a quick scan, then follow the route below to grab them in a single loop.

Fastest route to collect all five

From where you spawn on the Hueco Mundo island, turn to the large pillar/tower on the left. Climb or fly to the very top and use the collect prompt for the first trace.

Head forward along the left side until you reach the group of three to four pillars with Ulquiorra sitting under a tree. Move about 10 to 20 studs from that spot toward the water, and grab the second trace at the edge of the coast.

Go to the center of the island and find the large entrance leading to Inner Hueco Mundo. On the right side of that building, the third trace sits on the ground next to the funnel-shaped tower. This is the easiest one to spot.

From the central building, move toward the right side of the island until you reach a large rock near the ocean. The fourth trace is on the ground here, directly opposite the Aizen Mastery NPC.

Return to the central building and walk straight toward the teleporter. You will pass the Level 3000 Arrancar Boss NPC standing beside a small concrete room. Look just behind that NPC to collect the fifth and final trace.

How to confirm you got all five

Each pickup shows a numbered Shun Shun Rikka's Trace prompt with a Collect option. When all five register, the quest updates and the next stage unlocks automatically, tasking you with defeating 275 NPCs using the Tensa Zangetsu weapon. Seeing that new objective is your confirmation the trace set is complete.

If a trace is glowing but refuses to count, the cause is almost always the same. The quest is not active, so return to the Inner Hueco Mundo NPC and pick it up before running the loop again. Also check vertical terrain before assuming a trace is missing, since the route uses the top of a pillar and narrow ledges along the rocks.

With the traces cleared, you can keep moving through the Vasto Lorde chain, which later asks you to use Tensa Zangetsu skills 300 times and defeat Vizard Ichigo on Hard or Extreme before the final raid.
